@FFH_HQ 100%, it has to be fair. I like having players in on last day so why should I be punished. Always seem to be on the wrong side of it this year. I was sure he hit it yesterday counted myself and would have put my mortgage on it. Whats happened in the 1st place, someone miscounted?

Should FPL keep the game open longer to avoid these situations? 🤔

@FPL_TomHadley This has to be rectified @OfficialFPL, just because someones not counted right people lose points, absolute joke. Mini leagues are decided by one or two points, its an absolute pisstake

Any Alderete owners out there? He hit DEFCON in the OPTA update last night but it came too late for FPL to change 😢 #FPL

@FPL_TomHadley Counted at least 10, but sometimes dubious as to what counts. It will be so frustrating if he hit it and it updates after deadline, especially as a Gordon non owner who could lose bonus. Mini leagues are decided with swings like this, it needs sorting @OfficialFPL

A lot asking about Alderete DEFCON too. Both that and any bonus changes are looking unlikely now, unless we get a lightning fast update from OPTA in the next couple of hours!

Brobbey yellow card means both he and Gordon are tied on 3 bonus! OPTA do a quick post game update that could affect this. Otherwise the full OPTA update will likely come too late for FPL to change any bonus later

@KevinNagleMLS @CarmichaelDave Good interview Kev, hopefully soon we see performances on the pitch that reflect your effort 👍. One thing I will say, I have never seen or heard anyone talk about an exciting team to watch that plays 3-5-2 with no wingers however seems to be the brief when recruiting managers 🤷‍♂️

@FPL_Harry No that is true however it saves the need for people that are busy scrolling twitter or watching deadline streams to find out info. Its a lot easier to see the actual line up and act accordingly without watching a 2 hour stream or scrolling twitter for half an hour 👍

Today has again raised the debate of when the fpl deadline should be… FWIW, I don’t know the answer, there isn’t a correct one… However, moving it to kick off of the first game would have changed absolutely nothing today.

@FPL_Harry This is a lot less time consuming and gives everyone at least a fair chance. For example someone in our mini league watched deadline stream changed captain and gained 7 points where as other 24 didnt move because didnt get the info, how is that fair?

@FPL_Harry It would make a difference because not all people have got time to watch deadline streams/scroll twitter for info that may not even be correct. However if the deadline was 1st kick off we would all see the actual line up and be able to act accordingly with concrete information.

@GianniButtice 100%, it really hit home this. We have been through the same ourselves with a few miscarriages and years of trying. We are now expecting a 2nd after years of trying 😁. Congratulations @GianniButtice 🍾

Our recurrent miscarriage story. Seven babies we never met. Miscarriage is still a taboo subject and I feel like now is the time to use my platform on X to tell our story - we suffered in silence for so long. At times my wife and I never told a single person about our loss but with time, I have realised how common an experience we have suffered. In the age bracket of 35-39 miscarriage occurs in around 1 in every 5 pregnancies. After several miscarriages we realised something wasn’t right and later found out my wife was a carrier of a balanced translocation: a chromosome rearrangement which can be passed on to an unborn child which can lead to medical problems. We didn’t think having a biological child was therefore possible and on the same day we had an appointment booked with an adoption agency we had a call from the NHS offering a possible solution: IVF. By using a new version of IVF which tested the genetics of our embryos our miracle baby Gaia was born in our first attempt. We feel so blessed to have Gaia after so much heart ache. Whilst going through IVF we produced two heathy embryos that survived the process and we felt like it was only right, after Gaia to use the second embryo. Women who go through IVF are heroes and my wife again went through the gruelling schedule of medication second time round. But it wasn’t to be and 18 months ago we miscarried again and decided to draw a line under the idea of a second. 8 months ago, completely out of the blue we fell pregnant naturally and we’re now expecting a healthy baby boy in a matter of weeks. We’re truly blessed but fielding so many questions in the last decade has at times been difficult so I wanted to address this in hope many will think twice before asking such personal questions around having children. So please… before you ask your friends and family: “When are you having kids?” or “Are you having a second?” Consider that maybe they have tried and failed or are having difficulties. We were constantly asked these questions by people close to us and my wife especially really struggled having to answer them. She wasn’t ready to explain what had happened and she felt bad for avoiding the truth but was constantly but in these awkward situations. Please consider that the person you’re asking might be on a difficult journey and that miscarriage is way more common than many think.
