@CaitlinCo99 @planktonbo86892 @NatSparbeck Not sure how they exceed last year
Middle of the road last year and way on the bottom this year next year projects to be about the same league wide positioning

English

@jpointez @planktonbo86892 @NatSparbeck And they exceeded last year. Hence the 871k overage carryover penalty
English

So like, Stevie is just gonna get to sit there and collect checks…? We all love him, but at some point you can either do the job or you can’t…. A 7 year playoff drought in my humble opinion is a failure, or at least in this town it is.
Job not accomplished - at all. #LGRW

English

@planktonbo86892 @NatSparbeck Yea in which they are tremendously under
English

@jpointez @NatSparbeck There’s literally a salary cap lol
English

@LionsRoyalty Do not really like that. Last year I would have said yes. But with Gibbs expected to have a larger role now would like to see how he responds to that before extension.
Branch and LaPorta coming off of career altering injuries would like to see how they do.
English

Uh... yeah. Gibbs, Campbell, LaPorta, and Branch all will be making top 5 money in 12 months.

Brad Holmes breaks down WHY the Detroit Lions are doing one-year deals in free agency: “We know what kind of FINANCIAL RESTRAINTS we were in… for what we’re trying to do with these EXTENSIONS that we have upcoming” Some BIG EXTENSIONS coming up? 👀 #OnePride
English

@officialctpod @jeffiafrate @HonoluluBlues_ @boonersports @LionsHMA @the_det_times Long term success is making money off being competitive. There is a commitment to winning football but not winning it all. Two separate things. Brad’s job is to be successful not a champion. He’s doing his job.
That’s a Shelia issue. She has to want to win.
English

Brad Holmes broke down the Detroit Lions financial APPROACH in free agency and building the roster 👀
“We’re trying to keep our SUSTAINABILITY at a GOOD level… we’re not trying to do this ONE and DONE kind of thing”
The Detroit Lions are building LONG TERM success #OnePride
English

@NatSparbeck The decision to go cheaper?
Since FA last year, they have lost Zeitler, Frank, Decker, Glasgow and skipper.
They have added Borom, Scruggs, frazier and Tate.
2+2 does not equal 4
English

I… I just… I mean…what… oyyy vey.

Detroit Lions GM Brad Holmes answers the burning question with Lions Fans THE EDGE RUSHERS IN FREE AGENCY 👀 “Once we made that (financial) decision for the OFFENSIVE LINE… it kind of took us OUT of some of those other options at EDGE RUSHER” #OnePride
English

@AnthonyWriter5 Wonnum is better than AQM but you also lost paschal and starter Tyrus wheat 1signee vs 3 departures
How is safety the SAME last year you had a healthy pro bowler and an all pro returning with Maddox as 3rd in the rotation now you have what exactly?
English

@jpointez Wonnum is a more well rounded DE who can actually play outside of obvious rush situations.
I don’t say S was better
English

@elonmusk I do not suppose that you would be willing to sponsor an aspiring electrical engineering student with ASD whose father has a bad credit score and can’t afford the Parent private loan?
I would not know if I do not ask.
English

@iJordanMoore @WishIwasOnAbeac Than look at the Astros they essential stole the tigers colors schemes
English

@WishIwasOnAbeac I want more orange on their home jersey too.
English

@MLBDeadlineNews Assuming the Tigers have a sports psychologist on staff this could be Framber’s best year ever.
Skubal in front of him in the rotation Verlander behind him. Absolutely no pressure to be the Ace he’ll be dealing all year
English

@james_xond No.
After taxes that’s 1,340,000
Pay off my house, car, my son’s college, put away a lump sump for other son’s college when he gets there
I have less than a million that’s not enough to retire on.
English

@jpointez I get for sure, but I also think you take the chance if you think you’re a contender this season. We also don’t know what they’re going to do CBA wise (besides ruin all growth of the game by doing a long term lockout lol) what if they change that rule?
English

@DanielleKaatz I am almost away pro player but if I ran a team I would take the chance. 15 vs 147 it’s not a hard decision.
English

@jpointez You mean within the amount of games the division is likely to be decided by? You can’t keep sacrificing the now for something 7 years in the future.
Besides if he finishes top 2 in RoY they don’t get the 7th year anyway and they wouldn’t get the free draft pick.
English

@Btwn_TheNumbers That’s equivalent of saying well Brad tried really hard so it’s ok.
English

If this is giving Marcus Davenport, that’s a good thing.
The Davenport-era was GOOD process that had a bad result.
This Turner signing is GOOD process.
Good process = signing a player with an Expected Value at or above their risk (i.e. $$$).
