@First10EM The problem is, on the hospital side, no one feels the disincentives for boarding other than the ED.

There is a lot of data on how horrible it is for medical outcomes to keep inpatients boarded in the ED I don't see enough discussion of how inhumane it is. EDs are not designed to allow patients to sleep. No one would want a loved one to spend 24 hours in an ED We need better
