17yrs ago today I was in Afghanistan as a young Royal Marine. I’d worked hard from 14/15 to get my green lid. Felt great. It also felt great getting to do my job, which includes war. I wasn’t scared. One morning though I did wake up scared and had a voice that spoke bad news in my head. What can I do? So I left on foot to patrol and fight. Few hours later I literally got blown up. Sat up and my leg was gone, arm in a bad way, hole in my other arm, inside of my knee blown out. Nightmare! I was put to sleep and woke up in the uk. At first I didn’t fancy being alive but over time I realised I could achieve a couple bits and bobs. 17yrs have passed and I’ve achieved a couple bits and bobs so I’m happy. That’s what life’s all about. 🫡

@GavWilson Not sure what the community game is like, but Top Tier Super League and the NRL is certainly a more attractive product with more flow.

Rugby Union held Rugby League back for over a century, and in many countries still does today. League is a better product, but it has always been competing with one hand tied behind its back.
