The people claiming “everyone was asking for it” in regards to last night’s starting 5 couldn’t be more wrong. Fans were asking for adjustments. It’s like if you bring your car in to a mechanic to fix a battery issue. No one expects him to replace the alternator with a toaster.

@StoolGreenie Not to mention some of the easiest looks Embiid got all night was against this unit. Additionally, it pushed the regular rotations down - so impacted the close to the quarter too. It made 0 sense and contributed to the loss. Not the reason but a contributing factor

@StoolGreenie Come on, Dan. It was clear that the starters were not connected and a panic mode that put them in a hole early. Role players were not making the right reads from jump (see Baylor on the handoff) and JB’s TO was because our guy didn’t flare out to the corner.

First 4 minutes of the 1st quarter before the first sub: - Jaylen missed 3PA - White missed 3PA - Garza missed 3PA - Jaylen TO - Harper steal - Jaylen TO - White 3PM - Harper missed 3PA - Jaylen missed jumper - White 1 of 2 from FT line Pritchard then subbed in at 7:58 down 11-4. Celts then got it back to 19-13 with 4:39 left in the quarter w/ the normal rotation in and closed the quarter losing 13-6. THAT was the problem in the 1st quarter Jaylen/White struggled early, normal rotation closed poorly

Maxey would’ve slid over and he prolly would’ve swung to Sam for the open 3. Still got a similar sequence on the opposite with Pritchard getting an open 3.

If Pritchard's shot would've gone in to finish this sequence, I'm 100% certain the Celtics would've been hosting Game 1 against the Knicks Monday night.

He had the better passing angle, and instead delivered the ball to JB. Either way your 7 footer was sprinting free and the Cs missed him
