I like math(s). I used to be v. good at it. My eldest son is brilliant at it. It helped my earlier logical thinking. But I only use the basics these days. Also, ChatGPT and other AI stuff is pretty good at math(s). Even complex reasoning. Math(s) not key to all our futures.

Having spent time in both the UK and the Canadian gov’ts., I can attest that design research is done far better and more comprehensively. The UK’s miles ahead in terms of service, experience, and interaction design though. GoC Design is lagging.

@ifenn You see, you’re being literal IMO. Racism isn’t just about colour and while they used that term they didn’t mean it in the way that you understand it. They used the wrong term, but the sentiment is what matters.

I keep reading tweets that white people cannot experience racism. I was severely bullied at the age of 11 when I moved from Scotland to England due to my Scottish accent. Is there another word for it?

@Martin_Jordan Sure. Ok. Misattribution is one thing. But let’s not abstract and generalise. Not all contractors are equal. Not all consultants are the same. And not all internal staff have the same capability, determination and motivation. Some always stand out and some let down.

I have to work remotely today. No coworking spaces in this part of town. I walk into Costa. Atmosphere is mellow, staff hardly make eye contact, project their dispassion. I walk into Gail’s. Staff are exuberant, smiling, it’s too loud, but I stay here.
