@AmericaPapaBear Didn't Rob Reiner call him a rapist, nazi, misogynist, etc. everyday for like 8 years? If someone called you a rapist or fascist, I'm petty sure you wouldnt be throwing flowers at their grave either. Lets not act like we all expected Trump to send his heartfelt condolences.

This is a dreadful thing to say about a man who just got murdered by his troubled son.
Delete it, Mr President @realDonaldTrump .

Call me crazy but I'd say that was probably worse.

@leewylieboxing Way too predictable and credit to Bivol for exposing it. He loves the probing left jab followed by a heavy looping right. His combinations, feints, counter punching, timing, etc. have all taken a back seat and, in a way, has made him somewhat of a one dimensional fighter lately.
English

He was far too predictable with that looping right hand to Bivol’s left bicep. Solid jab and feints went out the window. He needed both to break Bivol’s base more often and to vary the timing of his attacks.

@leewylieboxing Spot on. He relies too much on his power which, frankly, isn't as devastating at 175 lbs. He's "arm hunting" now instead of going to the head or body, which is a strange tactic. Very few combinations and counterpunching. He gets gassed quickly cause he loads up on too many shots.

@MikeCoppinger Canelo would have to re-vamp the way he fights in order to beat Bivol. Perhaps incorporate more counter punching and more combinations instead of soley relying on his power. He's loading up on shots way too often and I do not think that's practical at this weight class.

Canelo Alvarez was soundly defeated by Dmitry Bivol but said he plans to exercise the rematch clause. “This doesn’t end here.”
The loss ends Alvarez’s incredible run and could shake up the pound-for-pound list. #CaneloBivol story from ringside in Vegas:

@MichaelBensonn I really wish he would go back to putting together those masterful combinations he was known for back in 2015-2017. He's relying too much on his power and loading up on punches which, frankly, isn't really intimidating legit light heavyweights as we saw tonight.
English

@MonteroOnBoxing 2015-2017 was peak Canelo. Combinations, defense, power - He had it all. Now he's just loading up on punches and it's not intimidating these guys who are legit light heavyweights. He can't afford to use his slick head movement to win rounds.
English

Bivol’s game plan was MUCH better than Canelo’s from the jump. Really felt like the Mexican took this man lightly.

English

@Gilbertbelieve2 @MikeCoppinger Exactly. I understand the attraction to power and wanting to land those game changing punches but his speed and combinations made him super dangerous when he was lighter. I'm not sure if he's able to maintain that type of output at 175, but it sure isn't the best version of him.
English

@jriv421 @MikeCoppinger I always told my boys, Canelo is a great, but he’s been loading up way too much on his shots recently. The combination puncher-Canelo is a better style for him.
English

Eddie Hearn said this week "The only way [Canelo’s] going to get beat is if he moves up somewhere too heavy.” Tonight that happened, but Bivol wasn’t just too big - he was too good #CaneloBivol
English

@Realdevinhaney Canelo stopped putting together combinations the heavier he got. The way he fought Cotto in 2015 was the the best version of Canelo I've seen, albeit at 155 lbs . All he cares about now is power and veering away from those 3 and 4 punch combinations has made him less dangerous.
English

@andyserling Can we all agree that they should target the Met Mile for this guy?
He's the goods.

@EMD4ME Wow. That's pretty blatant.
Irad should just take a vacation/suspension and cool his head. His ego is getting way too big.
