@JasonNark So sorry, Jason. We lost our cat unexpectedly last year, he wasn’t even 5. Took a long time to make peace with it. Pets are family.

My dog was found tied to a fence in the snow, a runt I think. We rescued her and yes, it’s a cliche, but she rescued us a bit too. She always gave love. She died, unexpectedly, today.

I was asked to speak to 4th & 5th graders for a Writers Day today. We had to come prepared w/a project from our profession. I usually talk to high school and college students so I was stumped. Then, I remembered the story of Gritty being accused of punching a kid (a thread).
