@MarioNawfal @MarioNawfal that is the dumbest thing you’ve ever said. Israel left Gaza in 2005. Did it stop Hamas? The IRGC wants closer access to Israel that’s why it has proxies on every border. It wasn’t supposed to just be Hamas attacking Israel Oct 7

🇮🇱🇮🇷🇱🇧 Israel staying in Lebanon may actually help Iran keep Hezbollah alive. Lt. Col. Anthony Aguilar says Hezbollah’s entire justification is “resistance” against Israel. “Hezbollah exists as resistance for Israel. As long as Israel is in Lebanese territory, Hezbollah has a reason to exist.” If Israel never fully leaves Lebanon, Iran never has to explain why Hezbollah is still armed.
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump spent years trashing the JCPOA. Now the deal he is celebrating may be weaker than the one he tore up. Lt. Col. Anthony Aguilar says the JCPOA was an actual plan of action, with requirements, constraints, consequences, and a clear end state. The new MOU, he says, is just an idea. “The principles of this MOU are significantly worse for the U.S. interests than the JCPOA. Without question.” That is the irony: after war, strikes, blockade, and chaos, Washington may have ended up with less than it already had.

🇺🇸 Trump says he'll restart strikes on Iran if it doesn't reach a final nuclear deal. He said the U.S. would either go back to attacking Tehran or become "the guardian of the Middle East" in return for 20% of the region's revenues. He insists the deal means Iran "can only enrich for nonmilitary purposes. Forever." But asked if that meant the same 3.67% cap as the Obama deal he tore up, he wouldn't give a number. That limit isn't actually settled. It's one of the main things still on the table when talks begin Friday in Switzerland. Source: New York Times / Writer: Julie

🇮🇱 Israel's Ben-Gvir says Trump's deal does not bind Israel, and he is drawing a hard line on Beirut. "Israel is not subject to the United States, and we are an independent and sovereign nation. We love the USA and are grateful to President Trump. And yet, the State of Israel is not a banana republic. We are not partners to this agreement that does not ensure our security, and it does not bind us in any way." He warns that any drone or missile fired at Israel from Lebanon will mean an Israeli strike on Dahiya, the same deterrence he says held just months ago. Hard to keep a region quiet when Netanyahu's own cabinet won't play along. Writer: Julie

🚨For the first time in modern history, Iran's nuclear infrastructure has been destroyed, its air force dismantled, and the top tiers of its regime eliminated. What took 47 years of failed diplomacy to avoid has now been addressed head-on. The threat Iran posed to the West, to Israel, and to future generations has been fundamentally altered and perhaps permanently.

🇮🇱 Yair Golan, leader of Israel’s opposition Democratic Party slammed Netanyahu and the U.S-Iran deal: "A hard morning for Israel. Israelis are waking up to a deal made over Israel's head. Netanyahu is good for Hamas. Netanyahu is good for Iran. Netanyahu is good for Hezbollah. Netanyahu is not good for Israel." He warns the agreement gives a vital financial lifeline to the Iranian regime while dangerously leaving Tehran's core nuclear infrastructure completely intact. 🇮🇱 Israel's Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich: "The agreement with Iran is bad for Israel and for the entire free world. Period." He vowed Israel would keep working to topple the Iranian regime "ourselves and in creative ways," and to make sure Iran never gets a nuclear weapon. On Lebanon, he said Israel would be "tested," and pledged to give the IDF full freedom of action to keep pushing Hezbollah back. Even Obama or Biden might have handled Iran better than this. JD Vance signing his dream deal with Tehran is like signing a PEACE DEAL with a SHARK and then acting surprised when it STILL BITES. God bless America. I respect President Trump, but I trust the Iranian regime about as much as I TRUST a CROCODILE to BABYSIT. Trump shouldn't play business with Middle Eastern politics. In the Middle East, it's soccer-football. Israel knows the pitch better. The Islamic regime in Iran treats every agreement like extra time, KEEP BREAKING the RULES and HOPE the REFEREE NEVER blows the final whistle. No deal is better than a bad deal. If Iran won't dismantle its nuclear and missile programs, stop funding terrorism, and keep the Strait of Hormuz open, then close this file the way you closed Obama's Iran file, and finish the job.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Vance about the deal with Iran: “What the president has done is created the real space to transform that region, cooperation between the Gulf Arab allies and the Israelis, and now hopefully a new era with the Iranians!" He also talked about driving down energy prices long-term and building prosperity in the Middle East. Could've been done without a war, but ok, at least there's an agreement now. 🚨 Alert: Major escalation ahead! We are finally decoupling. 1. Going to war against Iran with the US as a partner would be excellent militarily - but highly problematic under Trump. 2. In the end, it all depends on the IRGC. The enemy always gets a vote. 3. If the IRGC fires missiles at Israel, the response will be harsh. It’s important to understand what the IRGC has been trying to achieve: A. They could have waited for the deal to be signed, knowing Israel would respond in Dahya if Hezbollah fired missiles into Israel. B. Instead, to demonstrate their strength - and believing they had Trump on their side because he desperately wants a deal - they ordered Hezbollah to fire. They knew Israel would respond. C. Their goal was to maneuver Trump exactly where he is now: forcing Israel to stand down. Classic escalation. But here’s what they failed to calculate: **The decoupling between Trump and Netanyahu.** The IRGC still hasn’t understood what Israel has become after October 7th: 1. We don’t really care what Trump says or what his personal financial interests are - the stock market, oil prices, or any deals of Mr .@SteveWitkoff can have in Qatar. 2. We care about our security. We care about our School and Kindergarten Children. (got That .@JDVance ?) - When Hezbollah fires rockets or even builds the capability to harm Israelis or invade (as they planned), we protect our civilians. 3. If the IRGC makes the mistake of trying to create a linkage - “If Israel responds to Hezbollah, we will hit Israel” — they will quickly discover what the IDF can do when the US isn’t tying one hand behind our back. For anyone who still hasn’t figured out what the next few hours hold: as I write this, Hezbollah has again fired on Israeli civilians in Manara and Kiryat Shmona. An Israeli response is coming, and the IRGC will have to decide. The enemy always gets a vote. But so do we. The only one decoupling himself from the situation is Trump. We live in the Middle East. Israel does not have the luxury of being separated from the rest of the world by two oceans. Therefore, we fight.
Eyal Ofer אייל עופר@Eyalo365

Let me translate this headline from Israel - to those in the world media that had routinely ignored the situation: "Alarms on the way to school: Northern Israel children are under fire - two drones launched from Lebanon. After hours of silence on the border, alarms sounded yesterday in Metula due to rocket fire from Lebanon. This morning, two drones were launched as Israeli children make their way to school" My suggestion to the Israeli goverment (in Short: Israel security first) is below 👇

🇮🇷🇮🇱🇱🇧 Why Israel's strike on Beirut matters to Iran Dahiyeh is the southern suburbs of Beirut, home to hundreds of thousands of people. It's also Hezbollah's main stronghold in the Lebanese capital, which is why Israel keeps targeting it. While Israel's been able to strike southern Lebanon with relative impunity, any attack on Beirut is a red flag to Iran. The last time it was hit, Tehran declared it an unacceptable ceasefire violation and launched a retaliatory attack on Israel. Netanyahu knew full well the same is likely to happen again, which raises the question of why he launched the strike on the verge of the U.S signing a peace deal with Iran. The only logical answer is that he doesn't want the deal signed; he wants the wars to continue. That's a huge problem for Trump. Source: Al Jazeera / Writers: Daniyal, Ian

🇱🇧🇮🇱 Residents of Beirut's southern suburbs were reportedly worried an Israeli strike was coming. They were right. Israel later hit Dahiyeh, despite previous warnings from Iran that strikes on Beirut would trigger a response. The last time Israel attacked Beirut, Iran launched missiles at Israel. What's getting attention is the timing. A U.S.-Iran deal is reportedly getting close. People around here have seen this pattern before. In this part of the world, peace talks and airstrikes have a habit of showing up at the same time. Source: Al Jazeera / Daniyal

Israel's not stepping back from Lebanon, & Recent attack on Lebanon are sad & condemned. These propelling Iran & US to have Ceasefire Peace Deal One between US & Iran on their own territories & interests. & Independent Ceasefire Peace Deal Two on Lebanon front between US & Iran viz In case if US doesn't able to stop Israel's attack on Lebanon, & It's ally Israel continue attacks on Lebanon, then Iran would be free to attack Israel, being Lebanon's ally.

The Real Cost of Trump’s Emerging Deal with Iran The United States appears close to reaching an agreement with Iran. President Trump claims a deal may be signed as early as this weekend, though Iranian officials continue to push back on that timeline. Before the military campaign began on February 28th, Iran was under heavy sanctions while the Strait of Hormuz remained open. Now, the US is offering sanctions relief and access to frozen assets simply to reopen that same strait. This means America is paying a real price for a situation that already existed before the war. If the deal is finalized, Iran stands to gain immediate revenue from oil sales and access to billions in frozen funds, while keeping its enriched uranium stockpile and nuclear infrastructure largely intact. The regime will emerge financially stronger and politically emboldened. For the region, this carries serious consequences. Hezbollah in Lebanon is already benefiting from the perception of Iranian victory. Iran’s influence in Iraq is likely to grow stronger. The Sunni Arab monarchies now find themselves in a vulnerable position, with their trust in American security guarantees significantly weakened. A stronger Iran may also push Turkey to deepen its military presence in Syria, bringing Turkish forces closer to Israel’s northern border. If true, this deal would mean the United States has paid a significant price to return to a position that is actually worse than before the military campaign began.
