🇮🇷 Iran’s FM Araghchi: "The U.S. bears responsibility for implementing the Islamabad Accord." 🇹🇷🇮🇶🇪🇬 In calls with Turkey, Iraq, and Egypt, he demanded an end to Israeli aggression in Lebanon. Source: @Iran_GOV / Writer: Samuel

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump spent years trashing the JCPOA. Now the deal he is celebrating may be weaker than the one he tore up. Lt. Col. Anthony Aguilar says the JCPOA was an actual plan of action, with requirements, constraints, consequences, and a clear end state. The new MOU, he says, is just an idea. “The principles of this MOU are significantly worse for the U.S. interests than the JCPOA. Without question.” That is the irony: after war, strikes, blockade, and chaos, Washington may have ended up with less than it already had.

🇮🇱 Israel's Ben-Gvir says Trump's deal does not bind Israel, and he is drawing a hard line on Beirut. "Israel is not subject to the United States, and we are an independent and sovereign nation. We love the USA and are grateful to President Trump. And yet, the State of Israel is not a banana republic. We are not partners to this agreement that does not ensure our security, and it does not bind us in any way." He warns that any drone or missile fired at Israel from Lebanon will mean an Israeli strike on Dahiya, the same deterrence he says held just months ago. Hard to keep a region quiet when Netanyahu's own cabinet won't play along. Writer: Julie

🇮🇱 Israel's Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich: "The agreement with Iran is bad for Israel and for the entire free world. Period." He vowed Israel would keep working to topple the Iranian regime "ourselves and in creative ways," and to make sure Iran never gets a nuclear weapon. On Lebanon, he said Israel would be "tested," and pledged to give the IDF full freedom of action to keep pushing Hezbollah back. One by one, Israel's ministers are making clear they have no intention of honoring this deal. Source: @bezalelsm / Writer: Julie

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Vance about the deal with Iran: “What the president has done is created the real space to transform that region, cooperation between the Gulf Arab allies and the Israelis, and now hopefully a new era with the Iranians!" He also talked about driving down energy prices long-term and building prosperity in the Middle East. Could've been done without a war, but ok, at least there's an agreement now. 🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump says to Netanyahu’s Beirut strike, that “Bibi shouldn’t have done that. I didn’t like it at all.” He also claimed Netanyahu supports the newest deal with Iran, saying, “Bibi is OK with it.” Yeah right. Either Netanyahu privately told Trump he supports the agreement, or Trump is doing what he does best: narrating the outcome he wants as if it’s already locked in. The real question: Will the deal he’s vouching for actually break the cycle, or just reset the clock? Source: WSJ / Writer: Oliver

Let me translate this headline from Israel - to those in the world media that had routinely ignored the situation: "Alarms on the way to school: Northern Israel children are under fire - two drones launched from Lebanon. After hours of silence on the border, alarms sounded yesterday in Metula due to rocket fire from Lebanon. This morning, two drones were launched as Israeli children make their way to school" My suggestion to the Israeli goverment (in Short: Israel security first) is below 👇

🇱🇧🇮🇱 Residents of Beirut's southern suburbs were reportedly worried an Israeli strike was coming. They were right. Israel later hit Dahiyeh, despite previous warnings from Iran that strikes on Beirut would trigger a response. The last time Israel attacked Beirut, Iran launched missiles at Israel. What's getting attention is the timing. A U.S.-Iran deal is reportedly getting close. People around here have seen this pattern before. In this part of the world, peace talks and airstrikes have a habit of showing up at the same time. Source: Al Jazeera / Daniyal
