Post thoughts until I'm out of them.

I've watched a ton of people vibe code internal tooling only to realize: "I am now the admin for something that basically does the same thing as the software we used to use " And go back to using that software. It turns out 10% more customization isn't really worth it at all

everyone's sleeping on how absurdly good 2026 is to start a company (even compared to 2024) one person can now: - ship full apps without engineers (cursor, replit) - design without being a designer (v0, Claude Design) - turn one video into 10 clips (opus, descript) - push those clips to millions (X, Linkedin, TikTok) - replace a support team (chatbase, intercom) - literally watch exactly what their users do (Posthog) - find + target perfect leads on autopilot (origami) This is such a rare window. I just can’t imagine it being this easy ever again

If you speak with friends in South Bay, having kids sounds scary, they drive all the time for activities, and have no life of their own If you speak with friends in SF (Noe Valley), it sounds less scary, all activities are a block away and they go on retreats with their husbands and have fun for fun It seems people choose their own pain and the answer is live in SF
