A week ago, Apple showcased Liquid Glass, its new UI style. 🎨 Where does that leave Flutter? Regardless of your thoughts on Liquid Glass, it will be here soon, and if you want your app to have a native feel, that is something you will need to adapt to. The good news is that Flutter essentially works like a game engine; it supports shaders, which makes it possible to efficiently create these kinds of effects. It may be a challenge to get it pixel-perfect to Apple’s effect, but the community has all hands on deck, and we’re already very close. I think this story will be similar to how Flutter managed to replicate the iOS scroll views perfectly. It won’t be possible to tell if your app is using Apple’s native Liquid Glass or a shader in Flutter. The larger question to me is how many Flutter developers will adopt the new style, as it may require us to write more platform-specific code. What are your thoughts?

Server-side Dart: Because one language is enough drama for me. 😬
