@traceitback @farmingandJesus The septuagint pre-dates the masoretic text. Protestants explicitly took books OUT of the Bible to fit their doctrines. I'm going to stick with the Bible the apostles used and stick to the Church they built, not the imaginary one you're in without the full Bible
English

@jsantangelo93 @farmingandJesus it is in the catholic bible ....the word is clear Jack if you want to go with religion so be it ....it makes no sense that Jesus had to go through what he did for us yet, that alone does not get us forgiveness of sin, we can pray someone into heaven ...no sense at all
English

@traceitback @farmingandJesus Well it's in the Bible... You saying not biblical is factually incorrect
English

@jsantangelo93 @farmingandJesus no wonder this is not included in God's word -as if we can pray for those who have died for forgiveness of their sin . How does that make any sense ...we can do what we want on earth cause you know Jack is going to pray after I am dead for forgiveness of my sins -NOT BIBLICAL
English

@traceitback @farmingandJesus 2 Macabees 12:46 "Therefore, he had this expiatory sacrifice offered for the dead so that they might be delivered from their sin."
English

@jsantangelo93 @farmingandJesus 1 and 2 Maccabees narrate the Jewish revolt against the Seleucid Empire in the 2nd century B.C.E. and the rededication of the Temple (the story of Hanukkah). NOTHING to do with praying to saints and the Jews may have bowed down to it but NEVER prayed to cherubims hello
English

@traceitback @farmingandJesus "praise You all you His angel's... Praise you all you His hosts"
English

@traceitback @farmingandJesus But you don't use the septuagint, another reason why you don't have the fullness of the Truth
English

@jsantangelo93 @farmingandJesus a "prayer of an afflicted person" who is overwhelmed, pouring out distress before the Lord ...Psalms 102 this is NOT praying to the dead but to the Lord ...as he tells us in the NT...to pray to the father in HIS name ...not Mary, not Moses ..etc.
English

@traceitback @farmingandJesus I believe in the masoretic it's Psalm 103:20-21 "Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word. Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will." This is explicitly asking angels and hosts to pray to the Lord
English

@traceitback @farmingandJesus Yes they did. There are examples of praying to the dead and angels in both Psalm 102 and 2 Macabees. The Jews bowed down before the ark of the covenant and the cherubim in temple worship. If you knew a single thing about the culture of the first century worship you'd know this
English

@jsantangelo93 @farmingandJesus dream on ....the apostles NEVER taught us to pray to Mary /saints .....
English

@Truth_matters20 The fruits of protestantism - talking poorly about God's mother. Lord have mercy.
English

@paleochristcon I guarantee most of the leftists complaining about this give almost nothing to charity
English

@5Solas2 Who gave you the authority to declare what's a heresy?
English

@farmingandJesus You're a theological relativist. You have no authority to say what is or isn't heresy.
English

This is heresy, blasphemy and fable.

Since she has been appointed by God to be the Queen of Heaven and Earth, she is exalted above all the choirs of angels and saints. She stands at the right hand of her Son, she presents our petitions in a perfect manner. When she asks, she obtains. Her pleas can never be unheard!
English

@traceitback @farmingandJesus Yes we do pray to Mary. No we don't have statues, but we do have Icons of Christ, Mary, and the saints, just like the first Churches started by the Apostles and succeeded by their disciples all the way to today. We are the first and only Church. Every other "Church" is heretical
English

@jsantangelo93 @farmingandJesus So you pray to Mary ? Do you have statues of her /saints in your church ?
English

@traceitback @farmingandJesus How many times do I need to tell you I'm not Catholic! I'm Orthodox☦️
English

@jsantangelo93 @farmingandJesus You best go back and read Acts...there was NO catholic church ...households were baptized in the Holy Spirit without being baptized in water ...and as if anyone could link themselves to the apostles like you think your priests/popes do ...how silly
English

@traceitback @farmingandJesus Whoever baptized you didn't have authority to do it if they didn't have apostolic succession. We see all over Acts. Praying you eventually find the Truth
English

@jsantangelo93 @farmingandJesus wow ...if this is what being part of your church does to someone I am so glad I am not part of it. The Holy Spirit is given to everyone who would receive it. ....I was baptized in the name of the Father, the son, and the Holy Spirit...no church, no Mary needed
English

@traceitback @farmingandJesus You don't have the Holy Spirit you're outside of the Church
English

@jsantangelo93 @farmingandJesus pfffft I will raise your religious understanding AND church interpretation with the Holy Spirit ...
English

@traceitback @farmingandJesus I'm not Catholic but the reason why this isn't going anywhere is because you have no authority to bind interpretation to scripture, but I have the pillar and ground of Truth, the Church to bind interpretation. You are misinterpreting scripture and refuse to see the evidence
English

@jsantangelo93 @farmingandJesus the scriptures are the scriptures you are talking about man created traditions the Catholic church has adopted. There are NO scriptures where Jesus or the apostles teach us to pray to saints and have carved images of them in our churches, absolutely NONE
English

@traceitback @farmingandJesus Again, the Scriptures do teach prayer to the saints and veneration of relics and icons. You're misinterpreting the scriptures, and I know that because your interpretation had no historical continuity. You made it up.
English

@jsantangelo93 @farmingandJesus you may go back to church fathers /religion/traditions but NEVER in the scriptures do Jesus & the apostles teach us to pray to ANYONE except the Father in Jesus's name. It is a commandment we do NOT have carved images of things in heaven/under etc.
English

@sola_chad From the Protestant view, why perform any of God's commandments when faith is the sole guarantor of salvation? How are you supposed to pick up your cross and follow him if all you need is faith?
English

@traceitback @farmingandJesus Yes because I can look back and see Church fathers or saints in every century that share my interpretation of the Scripture. You cannot.
English

@jsantangelo93 @farmingandJesus What ????? I am misinterpreting the scriptures when it is you praying to Mary ?
English
