No school has been moved forward by a weekly email, nor meetings in which teachers are re-told the contents of emails. Principals: stop saying things like “we need to see more x y and z” and instead personally model what teachers should do, and unpack/rehearse it together.

@JSchimank @region13 @MrZachG Also, these tasks should be low floor, high ceiling. Meaning all sts have access to begin (have schema/skill needed (counting for example), by drawing a picture, talking it thru w/peers, etc) but that there is always an opportunity for extension.

Non-curricular tasks make accessible curricular tasks. We used to call them hooks, engagement tasks, warm-ups, brain teasers, etc. Giving sts 5 mins to warm up their thinking while having discourse, collaborating, & questioning opens the door for the rest of the lesson @region13
