@aspiringpeasant I am not saying we all give up! I am not even sure how you got there, TBH. I am saying the bulk of the rich ain't on our side, and even the Lorax knows that is true. We can maybe move a celebrity such as Ms. Swift, but the bulk of them? Too busy at the trough.

@aspiringpeasant It's realism. The wealthy are not going to save us, because few of them are willing to take that kind of risk. Very few of the people with fuck you money have actually said "fuck you," so it's up to us peasants, because the monied (collectively) are not going to do much.

I've heard a few comments about Final Fantasy being worse than Lord of the Rings, and while think I might agree, it's important to remember that Lord of the Rings didn't have to go through Standard. It's hard for a Standard set to top a Modern-only set.

I worked with a SEAL in San Diego who had a stack of these in his garage he'd taken from random homeless people.
Why? I asked.
Because it's funny and what are they gonna do? he would say.
You can tell a lot about the state of a man's soul in moments like that.

I'll never forget when Alabama cops posted this picture with the caption: "Wanna wish everybody in 4th precinct a Merry Christmas, especially our captain. Hope you enjoy our homeless quilt! Sincerely, Panhandler patrol." The "quilt" was made up of signs asking for help.
