The number of @Rivian trucks I see driving around the Bay Area is growing exponentially. I see 2 per day on average now. Reminds me of the early days of Tesla. That, plus my strong desire to order one, I think bodes well for $RIVN

@BriannaWu A two seater with 50 miles of range and a small bit of cargo space would probably replace 90% or more of my current gas powered driving.

1/ I really wonder if we’re thinking about the future of EVs totally wrong. Maybe, instead of giant $80,000 5000 pound EV like a Tesla, most people just want an easy, cheap way to get around. This is a micro EV. This one costs $10k. China has versions that sell for $1k.

@tdimaggio @dio9sys FT8 was the best part for me until I got out of the hobby. Didn’t have to actually talk to anyone but still got to make contacts.

@dio9sys Oh got plenty of that too. My other favorite is “FT8 isn’t radio!!!” There is a reason that hobby is on life support and it’s not the internet.

Today on Real White Men of Twitter, a dude got mad and blocked me when I suggested that promoting the accessibility of a hobby would be best served by not displaying really expensive equipment while doing so. It's like they don't know that some folks don't have a lot of money.
