Packers, horse racing, tennis and golf, mostly. It’s not about winning or losing, it’s about fighting the good fight.

@JJLahey good solid list. Only issue. Hopper, McDuffie and cooper are more than adequate for you off ball linebackers

Here are the top concerns I have with the 2026 Packers. I'm getting tired of coasting in neutral into the end of the season and backdooring into a disappointing wild card seed with zero ambition of making a playoff push: Tier 1: - Add real corners (multiple) - Add talent at DT - Revamp the offensive coaching staff and a qualified, trusted OC is more involved in the offense (not Hackett or Getsy) Tier 2: - The IOL needs to gel (I suppose it's possible with the current 3 guys, but they have a way to go) - Hire a good DC whose scheme fits our roster - Replace any outgoing defensive coaches with competent, quality coaches again - GB does an autopsy of the past few years, comes up with a new plan to avoid all the collapses, loss of focus, sloppy practice, and disappearing acts (may need to bring in some old vets as on-field coaches to help with this) Tier 3: - Get Micah healthy - LaFleur starts caring about special teams - Replace Luke Getsy with a fresh voice who can make better decisions and actually understand his players' capabilities - Either re-sign Quay or replace him with a solid Mike LB I believe completing most or at least many of these 11 to-dos are needed if the Packers are actually serious about their stated goal of competing for a championship. It's a tough job.

I’m very curious. Should car insurance companies refund customers at the end of the year if they haven’t had any accidents?

@wendellfp What part of Micah Parson's produced at an elite level, and Aaron Banks+Nate Hobbs both produced at a trash level are you not understanding ? I would have cut them both mid-season if that cap hit was not so damn high.

@Wisconsin_fam This brings up a good point. Wolf fired him not because they were 8-8 (results) but because he hated way they he the team (process). On here all we talk about is recent results. While that’s a factor, the process is important

People say everything is more reactionary due to social media. That’s a lie. The Packers fired Ray Rhodes after ONE .500 season. Of course, that’s when we were interested in Super Bowls, not 7 seeds.

@AndrewKahl5 @KenIngalls Banks they could have simply Resigned meyers for 2/12 instead of banks, who is for comparison on a two 2/47. So that much better off. This year Jenkins’s would have been playing in banks spot. This year you need a guard but if it’s rhyan then it’s a wash

Aaron Banks & Nate Hobbs combine for a higher cap hit in 2026 than Jordan Love - the Packers' $55m APY man. The Packers' 2025 free agent class was a massive contractual expenditure.

@KenIngalls Not saying it is likely to happen but I think they should cut both. A lot of damage has been done but they have to make some aggressive moves to manage the cap in years to come. I know it doesn’t help 26 much but it does help 27

@bmctevia @TheGhostofhogan They weren’t always common but I think they were still appropriate. 48 was the standard wedge loft and 56 was the standard Sandidge.

@TheGhostofhogan I am so old I remember when we didn’t need “gap wedges” Hit Mizuno M15 7 iron yesterday in sim, flies 192 and I ask the fitter what’s the loft of that …29 degrees lol , that’s a strong 6 iron not a 7🧐😂

Not new info but still amazes me the massive shift in lofts in irons over the last 30 years. Below is some info on one manufacture I picked to do comparison on: 1995 Callaway's flagship irons were the Big Bertha irons which featured a 7-iron loft of 33°. This was typical for game-improvement irons of that era—relatively traditional (not yet "jacked" for extreme distance marketing), but already somewhat stronger than classic blade lofts from earlier decades (which often hovered around 35°–37° or higher for a 7-iron). - Game-improvement / distance-oriented models (e.g., Paradym Ai Smoke standard, Elyte series, Big Bertha): Typically **27°–29°** for the 7-iron. - Paradym Ai Smoke (2024/2025 model, still current): **28°**. - Elyte / Elyte X (newer 2025 releases): Around **28°–29°** in most configurations. - This reflects the industry-wide "strong lofting" trend for added distance claims, often 4°–6° stronger than 1990s equivalents. - **Players' / mid-handicap models** (e.g., Apex Ai200, Apex Pro, Apex CB): Usually **30°–34°**. - Apex series (e.g., Ai200/Ai300): Often **30°–31°** or so. - True blades like Apex MB: Closer to **34°** - Overall, modern Callaway game-improvement 7-irons average around **28°** in flagship distance models, while more traditional players' irons stay in the low-to-mid 30s. Key Comparison - **1995 Callaway 7-iron** (Big Bertha): **33°** → - **2025 Callaway 7-iron** (e.g., Paradym Ai Smoke or Elyte): **28°** (common in popular models) → 5° stronger loft translates to roughly 1–1.5 clubs more distance on average, with tech like AI faces, tungsten weighting, and variable face thickness helping maintain forgiveness and launch despite the lower loft. This 5° shift is part of the broader industry evolution since the mid-1990s/early 2000s, where manufacturers strengthened lofts to market "longer" clubs—though actual performance gains come more from tech advances than loft alone.

@TheCheeseKing__ Put way too much faith in a defense that always collapsed and already gave up 31pts.. sadly no matter what he did, he was gonna have to rely on the defense to get a stop and they couldn’t.

@IKE_Packers This is incorrect. You save 20m regardless of when you cut him. It’s just a matter of when you save it on the cap.

Packers fans what would YOU do with Rashan Gary?! • Started off hot (7.5 sacks) • Went ice cold (0 sacks last 10 games) • $28M cap hit in 2026 • $11M in savings if cut before June • Might have trade value

My wife and I will inherit around $250k later this year. We have a $750k mortgage at 3.75% We have $2.6 mil in investments. We make $600k+/year Invest or pay down mortgage? We are leaning heavily towards paying down mortgage and recasting it to decrease our monthly payment.

I grew up doing this. Don't do it. All the kids in the neighborhood go to the same school... All the kids in the surrounding area go to the same school. You want your kids to be around the same kids multiple times as that's what builds bonds... Then, you as parents, build bonds with families in the community. We learned this the hard way when we had our first 2 kids too You want your kids playing with kids in the neighborhood daily NOT... Being stuck in the house or youre driving 30 min away bc their friend Billy J wants a play date
Nick Huber@sweatystartup

I think living 15-30 minutes from where your kids go to school is a nightmare scenario. You will spend weeks and weeks in the car before they graduate. 40 minutes of your day to drop them off? Another 40 to pick them up? Then a ball game or practice? C'mon.
