Emotional but very special moment today when Mason Alexander’s mom led the @PittBand in the #Pitt alma mater following the @Pitt_FB @Pitt_ATHLETICS win over Duquense at Acrisure Stadium this afternoon. The Panther’s honored Mason today at the game and wore a decal in his memory. Mason was killed in an accident earlier this year. @PghSportsNow #H2P

The tradition of the Notre Dame football team attending Mass before games, which had been discontinued, was reinstated by Marcus Freeman when he assumed the position of head coach a couple of years ago. Freeman, a convert to Catholicism, reintroduced this practice shortly after taking over the role.

How cool is this?? The Sister Bridges in #Pittsburgh were lit up blue and yellow for Pitt's game tonight against Syracuse. I've never seen the bridges blue and yellow before, and the rivers were JUST calm enough to allow for a decent reflection.
