@KRamasesha @J_A_C_S Congrats Krupa! These are impressive experiments (and theory). It makes sense that there would be ultrafast IC to a MC state that would then undergo internal conversion into the triplet manifold.

Our work just published in @J_A_C_S has revealed spectroscopic signatures of triplet (and singlet) excited states in the dissociation of Fe(CO)5, a prototypical organometallic system! doi.org/10.1021/jacs.4…
