@Aaron_Torres And here are some other differences: Pope is a horrible coach who can’t prepare his team, makes awful in game decisions and can’t recruit.

Iowa State: A group of players who were recruited to a specific system, to play specific role, stayed and developed within the system to be what they were intended to be in the recruiting process. Kentucky: None of the above.

In March 1970, the Wonderful World of Disney aired “Disneyland Showtime” on NBC, the very first Disneyland-themed episode to ditch a formal host (no Walt Disney narration or on-screen guide like in previous specials). Instead, the “plot” unfolds like a chase movie through the park’s musical attractions, with the stars carrying the whole thing. Kurt Russell had just turned 19 five days earlier. In the episode he plays a Disney “employee” frantically trying to keep the Osmond Brothers on schedule, and he even sings a cover of “Sugar Sugar” on stage. The big stage show segment featured the Osmonds, E.J. Peaker, the Kinds of the Kingdom, and Sound Castle, Ltd. Donny Osmond (who was only 12 years old) and brother Jay wander off exploring the park, forcing everyone to search the park for them. Russell’s behind-the-scenes walkthrough of The Hanunted Mansion, which had only been open since August 1969, is one of the earliest telivision tours of the attraction. Alvaro Folgueiras just hit the game winning three to upset Florida in the Round of 32 This was a thread I did in the offseason breaking down Alvaro’s game. He was a perfect fit in Pope’s system and I wanted him here badly Pope opted to sign Mo D and Jelavic instead.

Complete embarrassment. Soft coach with soft players that can’t handle the ball and go straight into panic mode. I can’t stand the @CoachMarkPope era and it can’t end quick enough for me. It’s the farthest thing from fun. Loved as a player and person, hated as a coach.

This isn’t a good start

@nolanuky27 Been a fan for decades and this is just the worst. Miserable.

I have really tried to give this team until the tournament before making any declarations. This season was a complete, total, utter failure by everyone from Pope all the way down. One of the worst years of my lifetime for sure and it ends in a fitting, embarrassing way.

@larrygloverlive Not a chance in Hades it gets any better with the road we are on. He has to go but the corrupt Barnhart will just kick the can down the road and another miserable season is ahead for BBN.

Injuries have definitely played a role in UK' s season. However...Injuries have nothing to with playing hard, defending well, rebounding, playing smart, running effective offensive sets, roster construction, or in game adjustments. Not sure how that gets better next season.

@vaughtsviews That’s a good one Larry! I don’t drink but I may start if Pope comes back. I can’t imagine this program can sink much lower. Every single fan I know is disgusted and want him gone tonight.
