Billy is a nice coach — but the fact that his presence might preclude the organization from hiring somebody who wants to start fresh and hire their own guy is far too predictable.

@WaddleandSilvy Jerry has owned the team 40 years - he’s delivered 6 NBA titles - that’s an NBA champ every 6-7 seasons - ANY fanbase on earth would kill for that type of success. People hate on Jerry but sometimes you take it too far. His record speaks for itself and real fans support him.

I covered the #Bulls over last 3 championships on a daily basis. Never once did I hear Jerry Reinsdorf or Jerry Krause say "we're doing everything we can to keep Phil Jackson". The org is now saying that w/ Billy Donovan?? Hire the best VP possible and let him make the call.

Interesting statement from Michael Reinsdorf. Fan dissatisfaction obviously played a role in making this move before the season ends, as did North Carolina’s pursuit of Billy Donovan, who will remain with the Bulls. Donovan will play an important role in front office hires.
