I’m glad I could share this final chapter of my PhD research with you all! We have followed up on the eLife kinetochore reconstitution data, probing the mechanism of chromosome congression via Kip3 and found that Stu2 is also involved! doi.org/10.1101/2023.0…

@maxferrin I wonder if higher salaries for GSs/PDs might end up creating more permanent staff positions. GSs/PDs are so cheap that it makes sense to load up the lab with them. But if they're more expensive, maybe you have a few GSs/PDs + a few staff scientists and just keep a smaller lab
