This is a pretty stark reminder for Dems that, just because the national environment is so anti-Trump, the GOP gerrymandering will likely not stop Dems from retaking the House. This year. But the map is substantially worse for Dems and holding the House in '28 and beyond will be very difficult.

@lgoldst Plenty of reasons to be optimistic about this year's elections. But understand that the end result will be worse than it would have been before the GOP 2026 gerrymanders, and the path to holding the House will be much more difficult in 2028 and beyond unless Dems act.
