@glynhudson @MrSimonBennett @myGrantUK @_heatgeek @NewarkCylinders I’d say you should probably add it as a standard. I think most would want/expect it as part of the package if it’s available
English

@jtsteadheating @MrSimonBennett @myGrantUK @_heatgeek @NewarkCylinders A recent update to our MyHeatpump app enables this checkbox option once a tank sensor is connected. Do you think we should offer tank sensors as an option on the L3 bundle configurator? We can help set it up for you if needed

We're up and running! Still got some tidying up and lagging to do, but the heatpump is heating DHW, very pleased with the performance of the @myGrantUK Arona 290 and the @_heatgeek Super Cylinder from @NewarkCylinders, COP of 4.64 for first heat up 🤩

English

@glynhudson @MrSimonBennett @myGrantUK @_heatgeek @NewarkCylinders How do you add the current DHW temp to the monitoring?
English

@MrSimonBennett @thoroughflush One of the best. Never actually met him but he’s been good enough to chat with me on the phone on multiple occasions when I asked for advice
English

The heat pump industry is so friendly.
Just spoke with Ricky at @thoroughflush for 30 minutes about heat pumps and water quality.
Super friendly

@jtsteadheating @myGrantUK Let us know how it goes!

What new products will you be trying after #InstallerSHOW2025?
English

@AinsdaleHeat @myGrantUK Got my first one going in shortly.
Hopefully give the Intergas Xceed a go soon as well
English

We are looking forward to trying a @myGrantUK Aerona 290 heat pump. We have already quoted for two but this was the first time seeing one in the flesh 😍

English

@glynhudson @myGrantUK Fitting my first one in a couple of weeks time 🤙
English

Gutted to miss Installer this week due to a nasty cold, but on the plus side I was able to take delivery of a @myGrantUK heat pump! Looking forward to getting this installed in my house soon 😀

@phpi There isn’t one single good thing about ECO4, its doing far more harm than good

@Damon_BPHR @myGrantUK @OsoHotwaterUK What do you think of the unit? Seem good value for money to me.
I’m speccing one for a job in a couple months time.
English

Finally got my hands on the new @myGrantUK r290 this week.
Wall heating and Stelrad columns for a mean water temp of 35°c.
@OsoHotwaterUK buffer/cylinder with the buffer used as a volumiser on the heating return.

Big shoutout to @jtsteadheating Josh Stead of JT Stead Heating and Energy for installing his first Viessmann, a Vitocal 150-A 16kw!
Not only did he give a Grade 2 listed building a complete system repipe, but he also installed 22 new radiators.
Excited to see your next install!

@Zarch1972 90% of them are 45 to 35. It’s very rare I find my customers needing anymore than that.
It’s only when I’ve kept the existing cylinder and it’s slightly undersized that they’ve needed to heat it slightly hotter to 50
English

Guys, i’m after some advice on Arotherm DHW hysteresis for a forthcoming article please.
What do you normally set it at for customers?
But what if they want to be more aggressive and chase performance?
ie start from a colder tank? How much wider do you set it?
On my Mixergy, 40% full is a great starting place to get better COP.
But how could you equate 40% full to hysteresis on a conventional cylinder?
Is there a formula out there that can show how empty a cylinder is using hysteresis?
Thank you for any insights. 👍

@plumbers_urban @jtsteadheating Trustmark only cost me £100.
It’s a no brainer.
English

@jtsteadheating Yes renewing mine and also adding Turst Mark so I can get £9.5k instead of 7.5k ;)
English

@GSHPinstaller Can’t imagine they would have done that on purpose though 🤥
English

@jtsteadheating If MCS had started the new scheme on time we wouldn't have to, that 1 month delay cost us all.
English

@libtek_alex Ok mate nice one. Nothing I love more than throwing money anyway 👍
English

@jtsteadheating I let mine elapse and immediately got kicked off NAPIT and the MCS database so yeah you have to renew
