@BrackeysTweet has released a video about godot. Chad is back. I often think about switching to #godot but any #indiegamedev #gamdev can explain me if there's shadergraph and scriptable object ? I'm afraid to be absolutely lost on godot !

I need a system that doesn't block player from calling action during an animation and execute them one by one. Hopefully there's AI now to help me with this kind of stuff #gamedev #indiegamedev

@jubomiro Unfortunately I was never too much into card games, max 30 minutes and done, so never remembered the names. I guess you may have a look at Argentum Age. Not exactly what you are trying to do, but still animating lots of stuff on screen in parallel. youtube.com/watch?v=BcsxZE…

@eugeneloza1 I'll give it a shot. I never thought about it but it might look nice. I'll improve the system to work with group of action instead of playing action one by one. If you remind any game that could inspire me, feel free to message me 😁

@jubomiro I can't name specific examples now unfortunately, but I've seen it several times (not sure if in card games though) and it looked quite good to me, maybe even better than one-by-one animation)

@eugeneloza1 Would be a mess on screen I guess or am I figuring it wrong ?

@jubomiro Ah, then indeed. But why not animate cards in parallel then?

@eugeneloza1 You'r right mate, this system is not optimized for real time game. I'm building a turn based fight similar to Hearthstone or other card game in which people tend to spam multiple card before the first one has finished animate

@jubomiro Note that in my experience it's not the best idea. E.g. imagine I'm in process of attacking an enemy, I see another enemy trying to hit me, I press dodge [dodge is queued for execution], then the situation changes and I want to instead hit that guy, I press [attack] and...

@technobauldy I dont really understand why vision comprimise is a barriers. If everyone agree with each other's position and with the main direction of the game, it should be ok.
