@pinkmorii @TW1NKD3STR0YER What do you usually look for in prose? What are some of your favourite books?
English

@TW1NKD3STR0YER Thank god I’m not the only one who did not think this was ‘the tightest prose [I’ve] ever read’. First it’s boring, the metaphors aren’t very interesting, and the rhythm of the prose is not very enjoyable. Maybe it’s a stylistic choice. But it’s not for me.
English

Okay this is actually Bad Prose typical of any Beat wannabes of 1970s onwards Ill explain why. Tight, right? Kinda journalistic, diaristic, forward, right? But what is this graf actually saying? Nothing. It’s tight language around Nothing. Same goes for Hunter S Thompson.

Open LESS THAN ZERO to a random page and it’s pretty much guaranteed to be the tightest prose you’ve ever read

@blown_through You could say this any day, anywhere in the world. This has never once been an inaccurate statement

@Iovesnakee A bit of an uncharitable read. He’s Jewish, he knows the SA is a major foundation of modern Jewish practice, along with the other sources he lists. It’s not performative to cite common cultural touchstones in intra-community dialogue. You can dislike his point honestly.

Why did he say שולחן ערוך for absolutely no reason

Since when is Zionism a “Jewish trait”? Is in inheritable by genetics? Is it inscribed in the Torah? Tanakh? Talmud? Maimonides? Shulkhan Arukh?
