@captain_marrvel Extended. I have found I can decrease hallucinations with a much deeper plan generated by 3.1 Pro. But then 3.1 Pro can actually do the whole thing for less. I feel there is a missing link somewhere, a secret sauce to using this model due to the variance in user experience.

@JinjingLiang Flash 3.0 was much cheaper and remarkably competent - hallucinating less than Flash 3.5, they don't even let us use 3.0 - denying us access to a low cost utilitarian model. Competitors retain access to old models, providing real world telemetry of a models true worth.

Everyone is sleeping on Google models: - Gemini 3.1 Pro is actually insanely intelligent. I genuinely think it’s better than GPT-5.5 at complex reasoning + writing. - Gemini 3.5 Flash is ridiculously good at coding UIs, and at a fraction of the GPT-5.5 / Opus 4.7 cost. The only thing Google needs to fix is their naming. Seriously, I still can't type "agy" right

Antigravity CLI thoughts: You can't enter 'agy' without typing 'gay'

@BenjaminDEKR It was a great CLI in the end... the auto mode was incredibly efficient and accurate and Flash 3.0 hallucinated less than Flash 3.5. Gemini CLI Is still available to enterprise customers but everybody else is being kicked from it. If Antigravity is truly better let us choose...

@shiorichanvt The human body takes 2 weeks to adapt. Thai weather is more consistent as it's closer to the equator. European, weather is more variable. It was 31 here in UK yesterday but 6 degrees in the morning only 3 days ago!

@LyalinDotCom @geminicli Don't turn off Gemini CLI for regular users yet. It works so well right now, Gemini CLI is staying for Enterprise, so the end points are still there. Many of us are more likely to move to a competitor than adopt Antigravity right now.

@LyalinDotCom @geminicli Give us Flash 3.0 in Antigravity. It's a very low cost and lightweight model that hallucinates less than Flash 3.5. Competitors offer legacy models and this provides real world usage metrics on if a model is successful or not. If 3.5 is genuinely superior, people will use it!

@LyalinDotCom @geminicli Gemini CLI has a very effective Auto mode which automatically used Pro for planning and Flash 3.0 for implementation with very low failure rate... why does Antigravity not have this? Gemini CLI different shift-tab modes were great.

@LyalinDotCom @geminicli There is no --model switch in Antigravity CLI.... a critical omission. Users want to launch Antigravity CLI and automatically run a prompt with the correct model and settings.

@pfelipm @LyalinDotCom @geminicli I'm in the exact same camp. Auto mode was incredibly efficient, powerful and predictable. Antigravity CLI is so bad it's clear they don't use their own product.

@LyalinDotCom @geminicli Bring back 3 Flash, 3.1 Flash Lite and auto model. AGY CLI limits make the product unusable for AI Pro users. Hate to say this, but after months building lots of free, open source products happily with Gemini CLI, I feel compelled to move to OpenCode and cheaper Chinese models 😔

@carmelyne @LyalinDotCom @geminicli Agreed. It's totally the wrong way to do it. By deleting Gemini CLI (and also Flash 3) they are forcing users to move, and in doing so lose the real world telemetry that tell them if Antigravity is actually better (currently, it's much worse).

I already built a real workflow around Gemini CLI because the Flash models were good enough for the work I needed. This doesn’t feel like simple migration friction. It feels like builders are being pushed to give up a working model/toolchain for one where we can barely build. What is the actual upgrade path for builders on Google One Pro, without losing the practical usefulness we had?

@Vorxni @JackWoth98 I agree with this. Gemini CLI just works right now. If Antigravity CLI is better, users will migrate naturally. Build that tool, don't force it. Same with Flash 3.0... if Flash 3.5 is really better, people will use it then 3.0 can be retired. Forcing it loses the telemetry!

@JackWoth98 The easiest way would be to keep the Gemini CLI lol. 😭Please, I beg that the Google one supports it. Gemini CLI feels more like it can do anything than Antigravity. Antigravity is too code-focused IMO. #savegeminicli

How can we make the migration from Gemini CLI to Antigravity CLI easier? One of my goals is to help folks move over as smoothly as possible. So far I am hearing the following gaps are holding people back... ACP, more robust headless mode, subagents, Gemini CLI extensions... anything else? I'll be working on some videos/resources this week so let me know where I can add clarity or details. 🧵I'll link a few existing resources

@RoboCanvas @JackWoth98 It can, I just don't remember how... when I first installed it, sudo didn't work. Maybe I installed it again with higher privilege (I'm a Linux noob so can't offer further insight).

@boil_the_sea @JackWoth98 Flash 3 was the implementor in Gemini CLI and had incredible accuracy when the plan was made at very low cost and was still fast. The hallucination rate feels much lower than Flash 3.5 too.

@JackWoth98 I don't know if you're in any position to advocate for it, but keeping 3 flash as an option could help w/ quota issues. It's still an option in ai studio. I saw the 3.5 flash low announcement, haven't tested how quickly it burns thru quota yet, suspect 3 flash still has a place.

@SubhamSaho4836 Not sure about the IDE but AGY CLI is woefully behind Gemini CLI. Culling Flash 3.0 didn't help either. Claude and OpenAI provide the user with access to the old models, which would have provided valuable real world feedback of a models success.
