@amiandlife I am with you. 💕 I think about that too. People just don’t understand — I would never wish this on anyone, truly! ….but sometimes I just want others to experience it for a day so they can understand us.

People probably judge me for posting about my illnesses online, especially those my age. But it literally took one virus to destroy my entire health and life, with no cure. I always think how they’d react if this had happened to them. #chronicillness #mcas

The big problem is that Long Covid research just doesn't seem capable of progressing beyond stating & re-stating & re-stating again this list of potential pathophysiological drivers. It's stuck. What is produced this year it what was produced last year, & the year before that.

@LongCovidHell It's not "long covid" it's called: a vaccine injury. People were physically or neurologically injured/altered or killed by taking the covid vaccines. Stop calling it something it isn't and start recognizing and affirming the truth of what it is/what actually happened.

I would show this to anyone that doesn’t understand the fatigue or ANS function involving Long Covid. We do not utilize our energy efficiently compared to a healthy person. #LongCovid #pwME #POTS #Dysautonomia #hEDS #EhlersDanlos #pwLC

@AutonomicBrad77 @RogerGustafsso2 I am so sorry. That is beyond terrible. It makes me mad. So many Long Covid nightmares out there. As if having LC isn’t a nightmare enough and then to be treated like that. 😢😢 Sending you strength and better days.

Viruses and Joint and Tendon Pain You had a cold two weeks ago. Nothing serious. But now your knee hurts more than it has in months. Your achilles is flaring. Your easy run felt like a half-marathon. You didn't do anything wrong. Here's what's actually happening...

@Yash25571056 @Yash25571056 Do you have any recommendations for the appropriate type of cognitive therapy? Many of us have done cognitive therapy that falls under speech therapy but haven’t seen improvement. Any suggestions or have you seen anything that can help? Thank you!

Thank you for sharing this important data. This & other studies continue to support what I feel related to the cognitive decline portion of my Long Covid. How can we possibly call this brain fog? This isn’t brain fog like when you don’t get enough sleep, don’t exercise or don’t eat right. This is cognitive or brain damage. What will it take for the full medical community and beyond, to believe it?! This needs more attention so we can get the support & care we need. #LongCOVIDAwareness #LongCovid #notjustbrainfog #Covid

From a study of 49 patients with post COVID-19 condition (80% female) and 48 healthy controls, "Patients with post COVID-19 condition exhibited significant deficits of attention, executive functions, phonemic and semantic fluency, verbal learning and episodic and visuospatial memory.. Thalamic volumes were significantly reduced in patients with post COVID-19 condition.. Fractal dimensionality analyses showed increased complexity in the occipital lobes and hippocampal fimbriae, and reduced complexity in the thalamus bilaterally in patients.. [In conclusion,] analyses revealed reduced thalamic volumes and reduced thalamic complexity that was associated with fatigue severity [among patients with post COVID-19 condition]." I'm curious - any other LongHauler advocates like myself who do NOT have LongCovid? (But, my advocacy is born out of self-interest/survival, because I recognize I am advocating also for a possible future me who could have LongCovid.)

This is a well known cognitive pattern. When a possibility is excluded early, clinicians anchor on alternative explanations. Those explanations then become embedded in medical records and future consultations. The original question simply stops being asked.

Because COVID has caused so many health problems for so many people, they’re inundated with patients demanding help for their new ailments. And because nobody, including doctors, wants to acknowledge COVID, it’s more convenient to label the myriad of health problems as “anxiety”

aside from longcovid: it genuinely feels like most US doctors don't believe their patients about anything anymore and don't care to try to do their jobs to even the most basic level of competency

It breaks my heart every time someone develops Long Covid in 2026 thinking that it's over, or worse that it's not over but that it wouldn't happen to them.
