🚨 : Two 17-year-olds have created a pen-sized filter capable of removing up to 94% of microplastics from water using ultrasonic waves, a simple, inexpensive, and surprisingly effective technology.
The result was so shocking that they won $50,000 at the ISEF, the world's largest science competition for young people.
THESE ARE INFLUENCES THAT REALLY MATTER.

Children are trained to think.
But what if they are trained to think about… is nothing real?
Dr Steiner once pointed to a simple arithmetic problem:
Add together the ages of four unrelated people.
You get a precise answer:
173½ years.
Correct.
But completely meaningless.
No situation in life ever requires this.
And yet the child must concentrate, apply logic, use effort; to calculate something that has no relation to reality.
Steiner’s warning:
When children are forced to use clear thinking on unreal problems,
they don’t just waste time.
They train their mind to detach from reality.
“Children are required to use their good sense to compute real nonsense.”
Now contrast this with a different kind of problem:
A human life:
A birth.
An apprenticeship.
Work.
Marriage.
A child.
Death.
Now when you calculate, you are not just adding numbers.
You are following a biography.
You are thinking inside reality.
This is the key:
Education should not train abstract intelligence alone.
It should train the ability to grasp life.
Because the consequences are enormous.
A child who grows up solving unreal problems
becomes an adult who speaks in empty concepts.
Precise language.
Faultless logic.
Zero connection to reality.
And this, Steiner says, is exactly why modern culture feels hollow:
People can think,
but not about what is real.
So the task is not just “better education.”
It is a complete reversal:
From dead concepts → to living thinking
From information → to understanding
Because thinking is not neutral.
It either connects you to reality…
or slowly separates you from it.
And most people never notice the difference.
Are you thinking clearly…
or are you just thinking precisely about things that don’t matter?

Your city is about to give billions in tax breaks to a building with 30 employees.
And they'll tell you it's "economic development."
Let me be clear. I'm a nerd. I work with this stuff every single day. I use data centers. I understand their value.
And I'm telling you this expansion is a problem.
Data centers are popping up everywhere. Your local government is rolling out the red carpet for them with massive tax exemptions that last up to 40 years.
Here's what they're getting.
37 states have passed laws giving data centers sales tax exemptions on everything they buy. 16 of those states have handed out nearly $6 billion in exemptions over the last five years.
Here's what you're getting.
A Microsoft data center in Illinois got $38 million in tax breaks and created 20 jobs.
Twenty.
A $1.4 billion data center in Liberty, Missouri, got $200 million in tax breaks last week. It will create 30 jobs.
One county in New York offered $801 million in tax breaks for 125 jobs. That's $6.4 million per job.
Now here's the part that should piss you off.
A single data center uses as much electricity as 25,000 to 100,000 homes.
Meta is building one in Louisiana that will use more power than the entire city of New Orleans.
Another one planned in Wyoming will use more electricity than every home in the state combined.
In Virginia, areas with heavy data center concentration saw electricity prices jump 267% over the past five years. One guy's electric bill went from $100 to $281 in a single month.
And water? A large data center uses up to 5 million gallons of water a day. That's as much as a city of 50,000 people.
Data centers in Texas alone are projected to use 49 billion gallons of water this year.
Meanwhile, they tell you to take shorter showers and conserve during the summer.
They tell you the power grid can't handle everyone running their AC at the same time.
But a building full of servers that drinks more water than your entire town and uses more electricity than your entire state?
Here's your tax break. Welcome to the neighborhood.
78% of Americans are concerned that these data centers will raise their energy bills.
Community opposition has already blocked or delayed $98 billion in data center projects.
This isn't a left or right issue. This is your community issue.
Show up to your city council meetings. Push back before they break ground. Because once they're in, they're in for 40 years.
Nobody is coming to save your town but you.
They Both Suck.

@Sunmontuewwdt @realpeteyb123 Because when we are too close to a situation we can miss the obvious. I have taught my children they can always ask questions and we will learn together.

I’m fucking tired.
I’m tired of this shit. I’m tired of giving my loyalty and getting lied to again. I swear on everything, this is the last time I give that kind of loyalty away.
I don’t even want to write this. I’d rather shut this account down, disappear into the Mediterranean, sit in my villa, drink local wine, watch my kids grow up, smoke a cigarette, and forget all of this.
But I can’t.
I’ve done well for myself. I don’t need this. I stay because I care, and I’ll stay a little longer for my kids. But I’m fucking tired.
I’m tired because my fellow Americans are struggling. They can’t buy homes. They can’t go out. They can’t live the life they were promised.
And we sit there and call them lazy.
That’s bullshit.
We send our money everywhere else. We fight wars for others. We fund everything except our own people.
We could have built something great here. For us. For our kids. For generations.
Instead, we’re squandering it.
Like we have for so many decades now.
Weak leadership. Corruption. People who are easily manipulated. And a population that keeps buying into it.
Enough.
Enough of this shit.
