Wherever you are in life right now the small apartment, the job you’re still growing in, the season you didn’t plan for honor it. Be responsible with it. Be grateful for it. MUSIC INDUSTRY PRO TIP - being busy isn't always a good thing! For so much of my career, it felt like being busy was a badge of honor. I watched as my peers "grinded" and went to networking mixers they didn't really want to and called it "hustling". Going to extracurricular events after work is important but not at the expense of your peace of mind or health. After observing my peers, one thing I've learned is to really audit how I'm busy and what is actually worth doing vs what feels good to say. Never be afraid to preserve your energy over going to an event or even politely asking someone to turn a meeting / Zoom call into an email to save time and avoid burnout. .
