Today I'm excited to introduce Hark, a new artificial intelligence lab building the most advanced, personal intelligence in the world We've been in stealth for 8 months, assembling one of the greatest AI and hardware teams on the planet I want to explain why I started Hark and what we're focused on I've spent the last 3 years working on the hardest AI challenge imaginable: giving AI a humanoid body. On the digital side, I've been using all the existing LLM chatbots - and I have to say, they feel incredibly dumb to me AGI, in the limit, should feel like a sci-fi movie. It should be able to listen and talk. It should have persistent memory and be highly personalized. It should see and touch the world. But we're far from this today We are crafting a new interface to AGI. Intelligence that lets you offload your mental workload into a system that begins to think like you and sometimes ahead of you We started Hark with one goal: build the world's most advanced personal intelligence - paired with next-generation hardware designed to serve as a universal interface between humans and machines hark.com

I’ve been quietly watching @RyderWallet for a while now. Not rushing to talk. Just observing how they move, how they ship, and how often they improve things. What stood out to me is simple: they’re not trying to sound smart they’re trying to fix a real problem. Most people lose crypto not because they’re careless, but because self-custody is stressful. Seed phrases, papers, screenshots, fear of mistakes. Ryder looked at all that and said: “This shouldn’t be this hard.” So they built a wallet that works like real life. You tap. You confirm. You stay offline. No cables. No panic. No long setup. I like projects that focus on clarity, not noise. And @RyderWallet has been quietly shipping updates, improving recovery, and making self-custody feel normal not scary. I’ll be sharing what I learn as I keep using and studying it. Not advice. Just understanding. Sometimes that’s all people need.

It’s been 10 years today since I started working with manufacturers in Shenzhen. And it still feels like Shenzhen is only at the beginning: the hardware ecosystem there keeps getting deeper

The biggest untapped opportunity for crypto products right now is performance marketing. 🔧 📣 And the @Ryder_ID team gets it better than anyone. Before I explain why, let me give a huge shoutout to my friend @louiseivan who started Ryder, assembled a superstar team, raised funds, AND just spoke on the Main Stage at @SolanaConf 🔥 Ok, now on to the story: Today, @nishoutofwater and I recorded what looks like a talk show — Lights, camera, talking about real-life topics like impostor syndrome… except this was actually a product demo for a cold wallet.😌 The truth is that if you have a crypto product/ app, and only market to crypto people, you’re vying for the same couple thousand people’s attention on X. So. What ends up happening is that you spend a ton of money for a small ROI. So what’s the alternative? Going bigger. Going mainstream. But if you market as a crypto marketer, you’re not well-equipped to go mainstream.🫠 And this is where performance marketing comes in. Performance marketing looks at: - a full-funnel marketing acquisition strategy (where hooks are everything) - UGC - copywriting - media buying (!) - constant iteration - collecting testimonials - ROAS analysis - Google ranking/ SEO - BFCM and other seasonal offers ^ just to name a few. How do I know this? Because I lived it. Between 2020-2023, I worked for a company called iStack out of Canada which focused on educating marketers with a Masterclass-style learning portal (Ad World) + a bi-annual conference called Affiliate World. It was there, that we constructed full customer journeys, spent millions of dollars on Facebook and Instagram ads, and tested tons of new marketing techniques every year. As the crypto space grows (in fact, outgrows its current environment), I believe that *performance marketing* will become the new meta. Founders will probably seek to hire marketers with not just a crypto but a robust, traditional marketing background. And those marketers, if able to understand and integrate into crypto culture, will have incredible opportunities (and never have to fear for their jobs). Anyway, I can NOT wait for this episode to drop. Thank you @louiseivan, @nishoutofwater, @aishasrv, @julneree, @MarvinJanssen

Regarding your point 2: I don’t think “other devices die quickly too” is a good reason to accept disposable electronics. We shouldn’t normalize that. And saying a smartwatch only lasts 1.5–2 years is just not true. An Apple Watch with good care can last 4–5+ years (the battery and speed worsen but it still works) So short lifespan isn’t a standard we should be okay with.

Sharing some notes on the Pebble Index ring launch as someone intimately familiar with tiny electronics: 1. The ring saves voice notes to the phone and does so without any maintenance, which is awesome. This is only possible because it uses high-density, nonrechargable batteries and uses extreme power optimization 2. Many people are calling it "disposable" as a reason not to get one, but think about how long your smartwatch battery lasts. For me, the mean lifetime has been only 1.5-2 years (3 fitbits, 1 apwatch), which is the same as the Index even with daily/weekly charging. I think the main difference is that existing devices never mention this while the Index is very up-front about it 3. The Index ring could use rechargeable batteries but it'd come at the cost of being 2-4x bigger. I prefer the slim form factor over the "convenience" of only charging it every 3 months 4. You cannot compete with convenience. Chargerless is the new meta for modern consumer electronics

Pebble launches an open-source AI ring. The Index 01 is a smart ring that acts like external memory for your brain. One tap to record a thought, no charging, no subscriptions, and full control over your data. It syncs straight to your phone as a note, reminder or saved clip.

INTRODUCING SPACE LASERS! 🎉 6GStarlab launched this week on a SpaceX Transporter-15 Rocket from Vandenburg, California! Transcelestial becomes the FIRST VENTURE-BACKED company to build at scale and own all pieces of a ultra high speed end to end space network - optical ground stations, downlink and soon to launch inter-satellite laser links. ❤️ This is built on our years of experience building the Largest Production fleet of LCTs in the world for telco and running production internet networks in rain, haze, and other adverse conditions. This is a huge milestone for Transcelestial as we commercially start testing our orbital network - the first key element is connecting LEO to Earth. Here Transcelestial is testing a few goals: 1. Space qualification for our Downlink terminal 2. Detection, Tracking & Connectivity of Ground station in Barcelona and Singapore 3. Demonstrate 1-10Gbps space to ground connectivity 4. Testing PQC Quantum Encryption (thanks to a special friend @tanteikg & team at @pQCee_com!) 5. Testing AI use cases in a micro data center (with combined storage, compute power of Bus and Terminal) Big thanks to @PolGuixe (@i2CAT ) and @RafelJorda (@Open_Cosmos) for making this happen!

Ryder - Control Without Complexity
Fun fact: While our CTO @MarvinJanssen is a coding and security genius, our CPO @julneree is not web3 native. That's why we place such a heavy emphasis on creating an incredible product designed for web2 users with the security web3 users need.
