My sons Sulaiman & @kasim_khan_1999 applied for visas in January (again… ) to allow them to visit their father @ImranKhanPTI in Pakistan. The Pakistan consulate states that online visa processing normally takes 7–10 working days. It has now been 60 days. This despite the public promise that they could safely travel there to see their father after 4 years, made by both Defence Minister @khawajaMAsif to @mehdirhasan & PM spokesperson @mosharrafzaidi to @SkyYaldaHakim Meanwhile, they are not allowed to speak to him on the phone, nor send him a letter. They haven’t seen him since 2022 after he was shot in an assassination attempt. This is an appeal directly to Pakisan’s PM @CMShehbaz to please allow Imran Khan’s two sons to see their father asap, particularly since, by all accounts, his health is in decline.

.@elonmusk Elon, you may recall we have met before. I am Jemima Goldsmith (Khan), former wife of Imran Khan — Pakistan’s democratically elected Prime Minister, removed in 2022 and now held 22 months in brutal solitary confinement as a political prisoner. Our two sons have not seen him in all that time, have not spoken to him in months, and are not even allowed to send him letters. His name is banned from every Pakistani TV and radio station. X was therefore our only independent platform to highlight this injustice. However acc to Grok- your own AI- “Every time you post anything about Imran’s jail conditions, solitary confinement or your son’s access to their father, the algorithm limits the post…. The Pakistani authorities have made criticism from Imran Khan’s immediate circle one of their top online enforcement priorities, and X is quietly complying just enough to keep the platform alive in the country.” You have repeatedly pledged that X will protect free speech and will not silence lawful political expression. Yet Grok has examined my X analytics (3.56 million followers) and concluded my account is subjected to what Grok calls “secret throttling” (the algorithm deliberately hides my posts from almost everyone even though the account is not suspended). The damning evidence Grok found is as follows : • In 2023–early 2024, I averaged 400–900 million impressions per month (normal reach for my follower count). • But in the entire 2025, impressions dropped to only 28.6 million total — a 97% crash to <3% of expected reach. • The turning point was May 2025: one post spiked to 4 million impressions the day Pakistan’s X ban ended (proving my audience was still engaged), thereafter impressions were instantly crushed to near zero and stayed there. These numbers & assessments are all verbatim from Grok. I am asking you to honour the free-speech promises you have made for this platform. Please remove the “secret throttling” Grok identified on @Jemima_Khan Thank you.

🇵🇰 OPINION: THE PAKISTANI MILITARY JUST DECLARED WAR ON DISSENT, AND IMRAN KHAN IS GROUND ZERO Something dangerous just happened in Pakistan, and the world should not look away. The country’s military DGISPR, through its official spokesperson, held one of the most aggressive, unprecedented press conferences in modern Pakistani history. Without naming him directly, the entire briefing was aimed at one man, jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The military, now led by General Asim Munir and the powerful establishment behind him, accused Imran, the former leader and the most popular political figure in the country, of inciting anti-state sentiment, working against national security, and even encouraging foreign media and intelligence agencies to undermine the army. They called him mentally unstable, a national security threat, and implied he was a tool of foreign powers. His supporters were labeled conspirators, traitors, and agents of chaos. Let that sink in. A man who won the votes of tens of millions is allegedly being publicly criminalized for criticizing Asim Munir, the current army chief, and Qamar Bajwa, the former army chief. Not for treason, not for terrorism, but for challenging the narrative. This isn't just a clash of personalities, this is the full force of a military institution silencing a democratic movement. And it’s getting worse. The military has now banned Imran Khan’s own sister, a prominent doctor, from visiting him in jail simply because she reportedly carried a message from her brother criticizing the army chief. A family member is being denied access for passing on words. Not weapons. Not plans. Words. They’ve also openly threatened to cut off all visits, even from lawyers, if any political message is conveyed. This is not justice, this is not due process, this is authoritarian muscle cloaked in national security rhetoric. And the truth is, none of this is new. Since 1947, Pakistan’s military has repeatedly inserted itself into civilian politics, removing elected leaders, shaping foreign policy, and deciding the limits of political debate. Every time a civilian leader rises with genuine public backing, the generals move to break them. For people unfamiliar with Pakistan’s deep state politics, Imran Khan is not some fringe figure. He’s a former cricket legend turned anti-corruption reformer who challenged the old political order, and allegedly, for that, the military has targeted him relentlessly. Arrests, assassination attempts, media blackouts, now total erasure. The message is clear, either you support the military or you are the enemy. This moment matters far beyond Pakistan. When a nuclear-armed country silences its most popular civilian leader, brands political speech as sedition, and begins dismantling the boundary between security and governance, the entire region becomes more unstable. It also reveals the cracks in the global democratic order. As Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, once warned, the armed forces are the servants of the people. Not the masters. Imran Khan’s battle is no longer just a domestic one, it’s a test of whether a political movement powered by the people can survive the wrath of an entrenched military elite. Today it’s banning lawyers, tomorrow, it may be banning elections. It’s heartbreaking to watch yet another democracy crumble from within.

I want to make something clear for my own safety. I’ve been speaking about issues that involve powerful actors, and I’m aware that can come with risks. I’m not suicidal, I’m not unstable, and I love my life. If anything unusual happens to me, it’s important people know I’ve already taken steps to protect myself. This isn’t drama. It’s simply me being transparent because staying silent feels more dangerous than speaking honestly. There is a large team that helps manage my account, and if something happens to me, they will continue the work. The information will keep flowing. My voice won’t be silenced... It will be amplified. We’ve already prepared a plan that will be implemented if necessary, by the team and my companies. I’m sharing this not out of fear, but to make something very clear: anyone considering silencing me should understand that doing so would only draw more attention and make the message louder. Silence would cost you more than letting me speak. I also want to say this directly: I always try to offer both sides of every issue a fair platform. If you feel unheard, or believe I’ve given a voice to someone you see as a threat to your power, reach out. I will give you the same honest, transparent interview I would give them. Silencing me, through any means, is not the solution.
