Happy International Women's Day! Grateful for all those who support, advocate for, and respect women. Especially grateful for the women who came before me, who blazed trails and on whose shoulders we stand.

"My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings; Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!" Nothing beside remains. Round the decay of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare, the lone and level sands stretch far away - PB Shelley

OBAMA: It's fair to say that 80% of the world's problems involve old men hanging on who are afraid of death and insignificance, and they won't let go. They build pyramids, and they put their names on everything. They get very anxious about it.

This is how a leader is born. AOC had the difficult job of condemning the brutal assassination of Charlie Kirk while giving what I believe history will record as a leadership coming of age moment. The balance of the speech was superlative as she struck the perfect balance between condemnation of political violence, while remaining firm in defense of those not prepared to stand by while Republicans attempt to beatify a man of flawed character and twisted ideology. AOC has proved today SHE IS READY and I am so very proud of what she has achieved in politics thus far. I believe it’s time for change and that she is that change. There I’ve said it.

@Beanie0597 Sounds like the school system I experienced. I watched many of my classmates lose hope and eventually drop out. I hoped some evolution would have occurred over the past 50 plus years. But I guess the comfort of status quo where the privilege succeed is all that matters.

I posted a comment Tuesday about how when we're in an emergency - like the current wave of wildfires in NL - CBC Radio is a valuable resource. Well, the @CBC haters came out in droves! I've never gotten so many angry comments. And I notice 3 things about the commenters... 1/3

I turned 60 yesterday So I threw myself a birthday supper with many of my favourite people. We toasted our friend who passed in November at 46. Celebrate every single day. I’m so grateful for each day. Thankful for my amazing husband who spent 2 days helping me prepare. Loves him

Brilliant! Thank you Paul Hunter and Mike Meyers. “Canadians want a government that empowers the least empowered, enfranchises the least enfranchised, and encourages people with no capital to see that they themselves are capital.” Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦 cbc.ca/player/play/vi…

@Katie___Simpson She’s an empty soul. More to be pitied. Perhaps we can put some trust in our PM as he navigates Trump’s irrational landscape.

@justbegemma Sadly, there are people who lack empathy, lack understanding the importance of acknowledging wrong doing, lack the desire to promote policy for equity, who are selfish, unrelentingly in their pursuit of power. Little self awareness, hence not open to learning for positive change.
