this glass crystal felt like an important and worthwhile talisman from the estate sale , which i went to in hopes of communing with death. spring and death are tied together for me since my mom’s passing . why the crystal? at her celebration of life i thought: a life well-lived is a jewel with many facets - the perspectives i heard from her childhood friends, her mentees, her colleagues. how grateful i was to see her life illuminated by their stories , to more deeply understand the woman who made me
