@bl00dnB0nee will not meet this criteria and will be sent home. It doesn’t mean you are unwell it’s just the way the hospital system views EDs unfortunately

@bl00dnB0nee i’m not sure how it works where you are but in aus if you go to a general hospital emergency department they will only admit you if you meet criteria that deem you “medically unstable” so electrolyte imbalances or unstable vitals but soooo many severely unwell people with EDs

@blurry_ideal general rule is NEW or sudden onset of chest pain is considered an emergency. so if the pain changes location, severity, etc. it would be a good idea to get checked

@connectionfear ana b/p can be either binging or purging or both, can be diagnosed with it if you don’t binge :)

i have always been on the fence abt the an-b/p dx bc at the time of diagnosis THEY WERENT BINGES. it was me purging my dinner after i would leave outpatient & when i told them that BOOM an-r changed to an-b/p

i got nosey & started looking at my er notes LMAO i was diagnosed an-b/p in 2021 at a ed specific treatment center but but the last 3 er trips from 2023-2025 all just say anorexia
