Tonight, we are conducting a by-law operation targeting illegal taverns and shebeens in Pretoria West. We have shut down an illegal pub on WF Nkomo Street, that’s also operating as a spaza shop. We issued the establishment with R10,000. Illegal shebeens, pubs, or nightclubs are far too often centres of illegal activities and violent crimes.
