Ok so…maybe this is just an anecdotal thing but as a Canadian growing up, it was rare to be offered food when over at friends. If it was dinner time id usually wait in another room. Is this just a me thing? Other Canadians help me out. I don’t think this is just Sweden though.

today there are big rigs, propane tanks & so many ppl more gathered. the cops have not used pepper spray, no batons & have only made 17 arrests. i don't support police violence. i am 100% for defunding the police. but the difference between the two responses can't be ignored.

i can't stop thinking about the violence i witnessed the police display when we stood with encampment residents - homeless ppl with nowhere else to go. they had backpacks, cigarettes, tents, art, clothes. police used their batons, pepper spray, made many quick arrests.
