@Dontfeedthecrz Yeah the art helps, but people don't spend 1100+ chapters with one piece just because of the drawings. The worldbuilding, characters, mysteries and story are what keep people invested. It'd lose many readers as a novel, but acting like nobody would read it is a stretch

Bro you don’t have to get mad, everyone can look at statistics or just anecdotal evidence, this is checkable. A lot of people don’t read like they used to, if at all. One piece also benefits just as much from its art which is something novels lack, even a light novel series would struggle compared to the anime and manga
