@felix_8felicis The craziest thing about some people saying you should take the criticism and learn from it is that they're assuming this random person commenting on ao3 is right. They could be wrong, for all we know. But these entitled idiots don't even spare a moment to think about that.

I’m BEGGING not to leave comments like these on fanfics/aus. English is my 3rd language and I write for fun. This is not a novel or an essay so it would be appreciated not to receive “critics” like these

@felix_8felicis God forbid people want to read proper story's with pleasant grammer. You should take this as motivation to do better instead of whining online and asking to lower basic standards. There used to be novel worthy fics, now it's all just "please don't be rude to me" slop.

@TiiinySatan @ToastMunchieToo @felix_8felicis How do you know the person who commented to criticize is right about there being grammar mistakes? Are we supposed to take literary advice from just any ao3 user who decides to comment? That is absolutely ridiculous.

@ToastMunchieToo @felix_8felicis It's ao3 etiquette, or it used to be before entitled readers, to not criticize the writing unless the author asks for it. Fanfic authors don't get paid, so they shouldn't put up with things from people who we don't even know if they have the credentials to criticize.

@felix_8felicis Am I crazy? This feels like an extremely normal critique? They weren't rude or aggressive, they just talked about something that took them out of the story. Use it to improve instead of crumbling.
