The market structure around spot trading on Solana has evolved rapidly over the last few months, with a meaningful change stemming from the rise of prop AMMs Among many things, Prop AMMs serve tighter quotes to users by using actively managed liquidity - quotes are often updated multiple times per second. Their midpoint often tracks CEX prices like Binance, which is generally referenced as the "true" price One of the most interesting offshoots of this trend is the CEX leg of CEX<>DEX arb shifting onchain. Yes, the CEX leg is moving onchain What used to happen: - Onchain price is $200, Binance price jumps to $205 - CEX<>DEX arb bot would buy onchain and sell on CEX - Captures the $5 spread, less tx fees What seems to be happening now: - Onchain price is $200, Binance price jumps to $205 - Props race to update their books to mirror Binance - The arb bot now buys from the stale onchain venue and sells to the Prop AMMs which are also onchain - Captures the $5 spread, less tx fees Importantly, the arb can now be captured atomically in a single transaction, since this all happens on a single chain. We've also seen an uptick in the amount of arb bots that are now using flash loans to capture these arbs as well When combined with the DEX aggregator space becoming increasingly competitive and driving the routing algorithms to improve, we are now seeing a material amount of these "CEX"<>DEX arbs moving over aggregators. A majority of this volume is on the SOL-USD pair, as it's the most liquid volatile asset on Solana. You can see the extremely tight relationship between the percentage of DEX aggregator volume that moves over Prop AMMs (LHS) and the percentage of DEX aggregator volume that is cyclic arbitrage Here, we define cyclic arbitrage as transactions that have the same input and output token, which captures the arbitrage transactions explained above. This is one of the most interesting corners of DeFi that has seen the most rapid innovation over the last 6 months, and it still feels like we are in the first inning Definitely a space to watch

NEW: We've added a DEX Aggregators tab to our public Solana dashboard. We currently cover Jupiter, DFlow, Titan, and OKX. This serves as a single dashboard to track the total volume, the AMMs being routed to, the pairs being traded, and volume from atomic arbitrage.

we spent 4 years building on ethereum and base. nothing took off. 6 months ago, we moved to @solana launched addicted → $3.5M in revenue in 48h, flipping pumpfun’s 24h rev. if you’re still building on base or any eth L2, you’re wasting your potential. solana isn’t just faster and more scalable. it’s the best place for consumer apps to find pmf. here’s why: 1 base and ethereum feel like closed dinner parties. we launched 6+ products on base. got zero support. meanwhile, base kept shilling zora, farcaster, and their “inner circle.” they even launched their own memecoin ($2.5M mc rn lol) if you’re not part of their “inner circle” or building what they like, you just get ignored. solana is the opposite. they treat builders as the core. they don’t judge what you’re building. they connect you with other teams and help push your product to the public. we came to solana with zero connections, zero track record, and yet the foundation gave us so much support and helped our product win. 2 a chain’s attitude sets the vibe for its entire ecosystem. these "inner circle" vibes are deeply built in base and eth ecosystem. you end up spending more time trying to make cool frens than actually building. after 6 months building on solana, we were shocked by how open and supportive solana builders are. they reply fast, offer real help, and push each other forward. @MeteoraAG is the perfect example. solana is open and builder-first. the whole ecosystem follows that. base and ethereum aren’t. that's what ppl call “culture” 3 on base and ethereum, there’s a massive disconnect between users and builders. most builders treat speculation like a disease and try to build “serious” products for imaginary users. even worse, the direction of these ecosystems is decided top-down. base and ethereum pick what’s “cool” instead of letting trends form naturally from users and communities. solana doesn’t do that. they let builders experiment and help figure it out. that’s why biggest consumer apps are all on solana: pumpfun, axiom, moonshot, helium, believe, jupiter, collector crypt, phygitals, vector, bags... and its only getting started. first up - season 2 of addicted the biggest survival game in crypto history. and we'll keep dropping new viral games, all on solana. stay tuned on @pndmdotorg just build on solana.
