The UK has unilaterally guaranteed the residency rights of people from the EU who have chosen to call this home. The EU27 have not reciprocated for UK nationals living in the EU, yet somehow we’re the baddies. 🤷🏽‍♂️

So we apparently needed the backstop to avoid a hard border- now Irish Gov give the game away, there will be no hard border even with no deal. There is not, and never was, any need for the political trap known as the ‘backstop’.

It's this Government’s ambition to reduce borrowing and get our national debt down, because our children should not be left to pick up our bill. Last month was the lowest year-to-date borrowing for 16 years, so it's clear our balanced approach is working.
