Just had @Merton_Council tell me that my property is habitable with my baby. I have no electrics in the bathroom and property stinks of mould. I also have had an unknown liquid leak into my bathroom for months. The leak was ongoing for so long the tiles on the wall is unstable.

The unacceptable description of Chagossians as being "Mauritians of Chagossian origin" and that Mauritius should be able to resettle its nationals, including those of Chagossian origin goes back to the question put to the ICJ in 2018/19. See question b) icj-cij.org/case/169. It is then reflected in many official Mauritian statements including this one at the UN in 2023 when Chagossians dared to appear as an indigenous people!
