🅰️🆙 @AllenTrack @JCockroft1 The Allen boys will have a strong contingent that will include Georgia signee Jonathan Simms, Caleb Smith and Julius Baker. Simms set the state record in the 400 with a time of 45.12 in August 2023, and he won the 400 at last year’s Jesuit-Sheaner Relays in a meet-record time of 46.37 before a hamstring injury ended his junior year early, but Allen coach Jon Cockroft said Simms will run the 200 and 4x400 relay Saturday. Baker ranks sixth nationally in the 110 hurdles among all FAT times with a 13.82 (no wind reading), and he is coming off a sixth-place finish in the 60 hurdles at the New Balance Nationals Indoor meet with a time of 7.86. He could be challenged by Plano East’s Philip Reed, who has run 14.01.
