So halfway through writing this, I realized that I needed to write a cautionary #RAINArambles piece on "fanagement" FIRST - because for most vtubers, their first thought may be to look within their fanbase to fill some of these roles. Hence, "fanagement". Which isn't a bad thing if you're careful, but doing this brings with it some unique risks to look out for. It's a long read, but it's a really important conversation to have...and I'm almost done proofing it. Whew. I'll probably put it up in the morning! (Or maybe later if I can't sleep, but I DO want to sleep on it.)

@snazzypumpkin I think even doing comms can be for yourself as long as you personally get something out of it! if you like the design, learned something new or just enjoyed drawing it, it's still a bit for yourself 🥰 but drawing something you didn't enjoy just for money well.. that's a job lol
