@thegarybrecka Isn’t that the sole purpose of day light savings time? They sold us on the idea it helped the farmers, in fact it screws with our circadian timing.

If you rely on alarms to wake up every morning… there’s a good chance your sleep cycle is misaligned.
Ideally, your body should naturally rise as cortisol increases in the morning.
When that doesn’t happen, it often means:
1. You went to bed too late for your rhythm
2. Your sleep quality was poor
3. Your circadian timing is off
This you?

Day 62
Morning Glucose - 122
BP - 106/73
This is day 3 of doing a trial break of the metformin.
Today has been interesting.
She woke up with a decent BP and said she was up to her commode twice with no dizziness.
She's still drinking plenty of fluids, around 3L-4L per day, sometimes more. She's still taking her salt tablet and drinking electrolytes.
Her blood sugars were between 120s-160s all day but did go up to 182 right before her PT appointment, and she was feeling the neuropathy coming on.
She took 3u of fast-acting insulin to bring it down because she was worried about being in too much pain, or her blood sugar spiking too high, while working with PT.
Also, before we left for PT, I checked her BP right after she had just gotten dressed and was sitting up at the edge of her bed.
It was 80/62 with a HR of 120. Not bad. Her BP is holding steady with the higher heart rate.
She used her walker to get to my truck and into the PT building.
Today, her PT was all about stretching. Starting next week, she'll be going to PT twice a week, and she'll be getting in their pool.
She hasn't had much dizziness today, even when she had to walk in and out of the house and to her appointment.
Her gut has shown a tiny bit of improvement. She's still had many BMs today, but they're less watery, more soft, and with fewer bits of food.
Usually, she would have some softer stools in the morning but they would become watery diarrhea throughout the day. And her dizziness would sometimes get worse from the water loss.
But today, her stools have been consistently softer and loose, and no watery diarrhea.
Also, she was less tired today and was more awake than usual. She had been having a little more energy up until she started taking the metformin. About 2 days after starting it, she felt sluggish and had been sleeping a lot more than usual.
Her shin is still on the mend. I'm RICE'ng it for her. I had to wrap it for her PT appt, and her ankle was a bit swollen after taking off the wrap. So, this evening, she's doing the RIE part.
It's rough. As her BP begins to look better and she has less dizziness, we would normally be trying to walk or row more. But with this injury, she has to take it easy again.
Definitely frustrating.
Since it's only day 3, I can't say for sure if taking a trial break on the metformin is what is helping her gut and energy level, but I suspect it is. I'm hoping to see more improvements.
One day at a time 🙏

Listen, I don’t want anyone thinking I’m turning lib, because I’m not, but we’ve spent years saying libs have their heads buried in the sand for refusing to look at evidence, while watching RINO after RINO out themselves as Dems. We’ve called out the RINO’s. We can’t throw stones if we live in a glass house; nobody should be off the table. It’s okay to look at evidence and ask questions, because this is about saving America, and everything needs to come out, even if it goes against our own biases.

Whitney Cummings shared the brutal truth she learned from dating a pro athlete:
Why would any man want a challenge in their relationship?”
She thought being “feisty” and difficult was hot and what guys wanted.
His response hit like a freight train:
“Why would any man want a challenge in their relationship?”
In that moment, she realized high-performing men (athletes, CEOs, anyone grinding hard all day) don’t want to come home to another battlefield.
They want peace, not more fights on the to-do list.
47-second mic-drop — Whitney on why “challenging” women often burn out the very men they think they’re attracting.
Does this ring true?
Do high-achieving men really crave peace over drama at home… or is the “fiery challenge” still a winning strategy in 2026?

I tend to present stories from a first person account, because I know I’m not alone. Doing it this way leaves it open for people to comment if they relate, or scroll by if they don’t. I never want to come off as a grifter, which doesn’t matter anyway because I’m barred from monetization, but I wouldn’t do that even if I wasn’t. It ends up looking like I just talk about myself to be talking about myself, but that’s not my intention. I’m kind of a weirdo, I own up to that. But I’m also a listener.

Okay, maybe more than four 🥰❤️

Maybe four people in this platform get me, and I’m cool with that.
