I certainly wasn't one of those people celebrating. But I suspect more is being made of that than is reality. Russian state media was laughing about how, if trump won, America would slip into a Civil War. When I was growing up, it never made sense to me that the KKK and the Nazis were allowed to have marches, spewing their hate openly despite their violent, hateful past. It was explained to me that under the 1st Amendment, their speech is protected, no matter how disagreeable or hateful it is. TODAY, Pam Bondi said that you can be targeted by the DOJ for free speech if you say mean things about Charlie Kirk or trump because that is "hate speech."
