The Christian scriptures defines faith as being spiritual cognition and (simultaneously) expression based on hope, hope being gladness for and security in a sure charity, and charity being the nature and light of God. From the expression of faith, we overflow the hope that is in us and reflect the charity of God. You can think of it as one light of God's goodness which we identify as different colors based on how we relate to it. In other words, there are two kinds of blind faith: 1. Immature faith which is still coming to terms with the connection to God they feel within, and 2. False faith, like throwing a dart without looking, it is not a real connection to God.

the concept of faith is so wild to me. not just in a religious sense, but in an idea, person, or thing. how could you believe so blindly in something you can't verifiably prove? despite abuse and inconsistencies? love seems unreasonable, yet still endures. at least, they hope.

@jwooligan Having faith in others, yourself or ideas is what drives humanity. It’s discouraged in today’s practices sure, but ultimately faith is what it takes to build any relationship in your life. Evangelion touches on this a lot, it’s a tough watch but I think you’d find value in it.
