@jxfaith1 Unfortunately, that ship sailed for millennials. Who started families in their 30s, in unhappy marriages, if at all. I'm hoping for better for generations to come. The Zoomers start turning 30 in January, so they do need some urgency. But it also isn't really their fault.

I know it is usually black pills for youngins. But here is a big white pill. While millennials were screwed too long to recover, and many of Gen X will lose what they've built due to this decay. You will likely be in your thirties when we get it turned around. You'll be able to, hopefully, enjoy midlife, and retirement. If tech keeps advancing, maybe more.

@JamieMoranUK Depends on price for 2 paid expansions. Including title price. $60 plus $20 per expansion? Probably, but realistically, $70 or $80? And $30 or $40 per expansion? Especially because the beancounters will want 2 expansions in calendar year 1. That's a lot.

When I was really young I used to want to play MMOs cuz the idea of me and my friends in a fantasy world sounded cool but now it’s a dead genre and you have to pay monthly, actually brain dead genre I’m surprised it had such a big impact

@nabe1975 Not a skill issue. A material issue. Japan's iron quality is very poor, so getting enough steel to make even a single edged blade was hard.

Rent is a big factor though, and seeing how prices are somehow nearly identical at every takeout place, I assume they're driving most of the cost.

@lmchankins @PsalmWarfare It's not just the boomers dying off pushing that. Somehow they all think that $15 is a reasonable and sane price for a warm meal, which is hilarious. The market is sending them signals with all the subtlety of a loony toons character that this won't end well and yet they persist.

Their premise is disingenuous to start. Every fast food/casual dining establishment and franchise saw their most explosive growth during boomer's peak productive years and you can't have explosive growth if no one is buying. In addition, look at those same establishments today. As boomers die off, they're struggling because the premise they were all built on was destroyed.

You can literally say something like “as a young guy, it’s tough out there, I did everything you told me, I pack my own lunch, make my coffee at home, live below my means, and I still can’t seem to get ahead.” And you can just see the joy it brings to the boomers.
