@FlayersGaming26 @AtnsXBT When you defeat a pokemon you get exp and effort values. Rare candy gives you exp but no effort values. You can still get the effort values later by battling. Most of the time my in game pokemon have hit the EV cap by level 35 anyways.

@AtnsXBT I remember hearing that Rare Candy over time makes Pokemon weak. That’s the trade off for leveling up so fast. Not sure how this works in the show because levels don’t really matter

@GASP2319 @GeneralPigeon It's decided in team select. Once the match starts you're locked out of half your team so if you didn't pick right before the match started you just lose. You also can't make strategic plays because you dont even know what the opponent brought with them.
