@DavidSB4_ It had some nice narrative moments, but was largely pointless and just giving Yuta something to do, which honestly is the criticism I have for most of the culling game arc.

There is this narrative going around that people who didn’t like the ending of CSM just wanted to see Denji be Chainsaw Man, kill all devils, get the girl and save the day. Which is just untrue Part 1 is masterful because Denji doesn’t get everything he wants in the end but makes a choice to stop Makima and learn from his experience with her. He has to think beyond the easy gratification he could have gotten from being Makimas toy. He decides how to beat her. That’s all I wanted. For him to learn, grow and choose how to solve his own problems along with Asa. Not for the story to just say “that was too hard to do and none of it matters anyway so goodbye forever”

I haven't really known how to feel about Nayuta's death. But after today's chapter, I think it was the right move. A perfect consequence of Denji's flaws and actions. He was told what to do to save her. And he ignored it. He chose Chainsaw Man over her.
