@mikebolen @waitwhosaidwait @JeanLossie @joncoopertweets Do you mean like creating functional educational and healthcare systems? The Danes just offered to help out with that since we cannot seem to handle either.

@waitwhosaidwait @JeanLossie @joncoopertweets And we should leave NATO, the member nations should provide their own defense. We need to focus on issues at home

Hey @USPSHelp, I love you guys and always defend you. More in the interest of knowing the story, can you guys explain this? tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfir…

In "Citizen Soldiers and American State Defense Forces," I provide an overview of the role of state defense forces in American disaster response. domesticpreparedness.com/articles/citiz…

I’m going to end this “2nd Amendment was only meant for ‘well-regulated militias’” debate.
Let’s look at the State Constitution of Delaware, widely known as “The First State”.
Delaware Article I. Bill of Rights, § 20. Right to keep and bear arms:
“Section 20. A person has the right to keep and bear arms for the defense of self, family, home and State, and for hunting and recreational use.”
Now Pennsylvania, the 2nd State:
Article I. Declaration of Rights, § 21. Right to bear arms.
“The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.”
Now tell me, anyone please:
If the first two states - original ratifiers of the United States Constitution and 2nd Amendment - say quite specifically the right to bear arms is for The People, shall not be questioned, and is for self, family, hunting, recreation, and defense of their State, how can ANYONE logically conclude the original framers meant differently?
English

@UberBlacked That would miss the point. The point is, the people who wrote those bits you're citing, came 100+ years after the Second Amendment, and were generations after the people who wrote the Second Amendment. Their understanding does not inform the prior.
English

@k3jph Is this where I say, “It was meant to be a living document that could be updated and changed as society evolved”?
To which you reply, “No nOt LiKe tHaT!!!”
English

@UberBlacked And the Pennsylvania constitution is from 1968. The original PA constitution from 1776 does include language similar to the Second Amendment, but it is much more clearly stated the purpose is to maintain a standing militia.
English

@UberBlacked Well, you see, the Constitution of Delaware you are citing is from 1897. It was the fourth constitution of Delaware. The first, from 1776, includes no such provision.

@mattasheck @Jesse_Brenneman @owillis Who needs to think it when they have independent evidence of it?
English

@VidBr1 Heh, I LOLed. You seem hellbent for leather on digging that hole deeper. Carry on. I haven't had this much entertainment in like, an hour.
English

@VidBr1 Nobody cares who you are. It was a reference to my potential response.
English

@VidBr1 Wow, I haven't had a "Do you know who I am?" moment in a while.
